Great place for the price! Very convenient part of Montevideo. Safe building with security. I will defiantly recommend this over any hotel in mvd. View is not great due to construction across the street but location is great! Muy bueno! Lo recomiendo!

We were unable to communicate with Leopold about our exact time of arrival because our cell phone and tablet were not working but, no problem- Leopold had the keys for the apartment ready for us when we arrived! The unit was as described in the booking information. There are ample closet and storage spaces which made up for the small bathroom. We were able to store our 3 suitcases without problem. The kitchen facilities are adequate, though a little sparse. This was not a problem for us as we did not plan to do any extensive cooking. Very adequate for getting a light breakfast. The apartment is situated in a quiet area near to grocery shopping and restaurants. It was also just a few short blocks from the Rambla- the walking avenue along the sea front. We had no trouble hailing taxis on the streets .There were buses running along the streets where the apartment is located but we did not use as we found that taxis were relative inexpensive, more convenient and safe. Every taxi that we hailed used their meters. The neighbors on the floor above us Augustina and Fernandez, were very kind and helpful . All in all we had a very enjoyable stay at Leopold's apartment ! Thank you Leopold!

Thank you Leopoldo. The apartment was in a good area, parking a rental car on the street is fine. Everything was in good shape. The security people at the front desk were nice and always right there. I was met as promised at check in and shown the apartment. Language was a bit on an issue, but most everything got figured out. The biggest problem there is the road noise. It is a busy street and fairly loud up to 23:00 hours or so. After that it quieted down. Size wise it would be fine for 1 or 2.

Leopoldo was quick to respond to email and text messages and flexible too with checking in and out times. We didn't meet but I was welcomed by Alejandro who was very pleasant and friendly. The flat is comfortable with twin beds that can be made up as one, and a spacious wardrobe (a few more hangers would be welcome for longer stays). However if you are staying a while and enjoy cooking then you should be aware that there are only very basic cooking utensils which can be challenging, despite a decent size fridge/freezer and full size hob and oven, but fine if you are only doing breakfast. There are plenty of cafés and takeaway places very close by, especially if you like pizza & pasta. The wifi too was very good - we had no issues at all getting connected which, with my husband's company laptop is frequently a problem due to security. We were missing an iron on arrival which did turn up around day 5 of our 8 day stay (It had been left at reception but we were unaware of this until one of the door staff alerted us). We didn't need the hairdryer or the shampoo which were also missing. The downside for me is that the apartment is situated on a VERY busy road where the traffic runs pretty much non-stop. Even with the double doors the noise penetrates. While we were there, there were also noise issues from the building sites, one next door and the other directly over the road, and which made sitting out on the balcony an endurance test rather than the pleasant people-watching experience I had anticipated. Nothing obviously that Leopoldo could do about this but ...forewarned is forearmed!

Sobreviveram.
