Bernal Heights is a cozy neighborhood, with plenty of amenities, cafe's bars, grocery, library, church, 3 parks, 2 of which are hill top and have amazing views! It's one of those villages in SF that you hear about, it has everything you need, and is very quaint and inviting. My house is a 10 min walk from Cortland Ave which is the main drag, 3 bus stops are also within 10 min. walking. Bus line 24 is on Cortland Ave, Busline 67 goes through the neighborhood and bus 9 is a 5 min walk from the house on Bayshore Blvd. There is plenty of street parking too, in case you have a car, it's never a problem to park out front.

Interaction with Guests
I live up stairs, I won't bug you, but you are welcome to come up anytime, I can help advise you on the best way to see the city, and what to do, and what NOT to do!
There is plenty of parking if you drive. Downtown is a 10-15 min drive.
Bus 9 is the closest bus stop, and that can have you downtown in 30 min.
Bus 24 runs up Cortland Ave, you can get anywhere in the city from this bus line.
I personally love to walk around Bernal Heights, but... (be warned) it is very hilly and there are tons of stair cases, but the views and experience is so worth it!
Please turn off outside light during the day and turn off lights and the heater when you leave.
Be respectful of our home by not being too noisy after 11 PM

Emily was very friendly and helpful during my stay. Check in was simple and seamless and all amenities were there. The place was clean and neat and parking was plentiful. It was nice and quiet and close to parks and a great neighborhood to walk around with all the quirky streets and houses.
Emily was kind enough to take me on short notice when my original host backed out for an unknown reason last minute. She even was able to put me into the studio with more privacy, since our schedules were conflicting. I did appreciate it. The place is tucked away, so parking is never a problem. I did enjoy many walks to the Mission, the dog park, and around the cool Bernal Heights neighborhood.
We enjoyed our three night stay at this studio apartment, which had all the amenities you could wish for, including a kitchen with coffee maker, toaster, microwave. Best part of all the parking was easy and free, right in front of the apartment! Emily made the whole process easy and made our first Airbnb experience a great one!
Friendly host, a no frills apartment that works good for the traveller on a budget. Preferably you should have a car staying here.
My second time staying here. The place was great, very clean - and Emily was very friendly
Emily was a great host, she was available right away when I had questions and was great at responding through email and text.
The studio is exactly as advertised in the description. Simple and has everything you need to crash in between sight seeing. Kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and a microwave to warm up any left overs brought back.
The front of the studio had a little garden which attracted a ton of butterflies it was so beautiful to watch in the morning.
We used Uber a lot while visiting, and some drivers are not from the area and had a tough time finding the studio. We just made sure to leave enough time for that to happen when going out into the city.
I visited San Francisco for the Nike Half Women's Marathon and the Bernal Heights Park was a beautiful place to run with a ton of doggies to visit.
Comfortable studio tucked at the end of a cul-de-sac. Spacious and well equipped. Emily was welcoming and prompt with information, booking was a breeze.
