Cozy 1bdr - Downtown - Pets Okay!

House - Entire home/apt · NW Hill St, Bend, OR 97701, United States

The wonderful benefit of this home is its closeness to downtown and the Old Mill District with the Amphitheater nearby, just 15 minutes in each direction.
It's also quiet and comfortable and provides the feeling of being in a real home.

The Space

Recently remodeled, bright, spacious home with tall vaulted ceilings, wonderful west-facing light, and an easy 15 minute stroll to downtown restaurants, as well the Old Mill shops, and even down to the Deschutes River!

There is a queen size bed in the bedroom, plus a brand new queen size sleeper sofa for additional guests in the main room. HOT water, extra towels, extra pillows, kitchen stocked with all the basic tools/equipment and dishes, and always kept very, very clean.

Conveniently situated in Bend's historic district near Boneyard Brewery's tasting room, Crux Fermentation Project (for sunset beers and stunning views of the mountains), Sparrow Bakery (for their magnificent Ocean Rolls!) and the Turkish bath at McMennamins just down the street for only $5.

You are welcome to bring your pet/s! There is an additional non-refundable fee of $10/pet/night. Please let me know in advance, since there isn't a pet fee option on this site. If you could please bring cash or check when you arrive that would be great.

I don't tend to approve splitting up Friday and Saturday weekend nights, but if it's really important we can work something out. I'll likely charge the Sunday night as a weekend night.

  • A lovely little house, very comfortable for the two of us and our dog! Right next door to Boneyard brewery and a short walk to Crux (a very dog-friendly brewery). It was also a just a 10 minute walk to downtown through a lovely neighbourhood. Hannah made check-in very easy, and the house was clean and cozy. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Excellent, excellent, excellent! This charming and well situated dwelling was ideal for us. It is tastefully decorated, clean as a whistle, and quiet. Easy location and wonderful host(ess). Hannah was thoughtful, attentive but not intrusive, and easily accessible should need be. We loved every minute of this house and our time in Bend. We hope to be back sooner rather than later. Our sincere thanks to Hannah for her expertise and care. Don't miss The Taco Stand or Boneyard Brewery---can't ask for better neighbors.

  • I did not have a good experience w/Hannah. She was unresponsive to a safety request. specifically there were a severe ice storm the day after I arrived. When I requested ice removal or at least a bag of sand to make possible using the driveway and sidewalk, she responded to her policy was not to remove snow until there were 2 inches. When I called her and asked if she understood the severity of this ice storm she responded I should be careful. It was only after I reminded her of her responsibility to provide a safe passage for her guests did she finally have a bag of ice delivered to the door. This was well after three hours of my initial request . I would not recommend this host to any future guest.

  • We rented Hannah's place for our one year anniversary. This place could not have been in a better location. It was close to beautiful and tasty breweries and down town restaurants all within walking distance. It was also perfectly located to head up to the mountain. The place its self was extremely warm and inviting. Everything was clean and well prepared. Excellent all around!

Hannah was very responsive when I contacted her with questions. I would stay there again and definitely recommend to others.

  • We had a fantastic stay! The space is beautifully remodeled and bright with vaulted ceilings, stylish interiors, and an open kitchen stocked with all the necessities. The location can't be beat - just a very short walk away from Mcmenamin's St. Francis, Bond street, and the Deschutes River walking paths. My husband and I (and our dogs) felt right at home in this space and would definitely stay here again.

I've been a world traveler since my Peace Corps parents got me a passport when I was two years old, and I've been seeking out new adventures ever since. From Ecuador to Geneva and Nepal to Borneo, I'm always game to see a new place, and love being able to share my own home to other travelers passing through. These days I travel with my daughter, Bianca, with whom I am eager to share my love of new cultures and foreign places. Hope to see you soon!
