The space

This room is situated on the second floor of a comfortable, clean, and newly remodeled historic house just a few blocks from Moore Square in downtown Raleigh. Your cozy bedroom offers privacy within a vibrant community setting. In the room, you can relax on an uber-comfy Sealy queen-sized bed while watching 450+ channels on your LCD TV (including HBO, Showtime, etc) or utilizing our super-fast 24mbps WiFi internet. You also have your own stylish bathroom outfitted with a clawfoot tub/shower. Basics such as toiletries and towels are provided, in addition to a hair dryer, straightener & ironing board. You even have your own Keurig & microfridge/freezer in your room :)

For your security, the house is equipped with an ADT security system and keyless door entry code, unique to each guest. This room offers traditional travel amenities such as privacy and autonomy, yet feels comfortably familiar. There is free parking on the street directly in front of the house. You can occasionally enjoy a glass of wine or beer with the hosts on an afternoon or evening :)

You can make use of the exercise equipment we have such as a Bosu ball, kettle bells, resistance bands, etc. Additionally, you can use the kitchen appliances and utensils if you wish, provided you bring your own food and beverages (coordinate with us to make sure it's available).. just be mindful it's a shared space. It's important to note that SMOKING is never allowed.

The house has a friendly dog, a harlequin Dane/lab mix named Oliver, who just LOVES guests. Don't worry, he's super lazy and will sleep 23 hours a day. He's also accompanied by an adorable grey Persian-Himalayan cat named Monster :) They're both extremely friendly and pose no harm while you're here. The 1/3 acre property also has a privacy fenced-in backyard for Oliver.

Many of your needs can be satisfied by walking just a few blocks downtown. The neighborhood is transitional (trendy & very up&coming in Raleigh), with mostly single-family dwellings and 2 apartment complexes. There are many restaurants, bars, convenience stores, and coffee shops within walking distance from the home. We can't wait to welcome you in our home & share our love for Raleigh with you!!

Please let us know how we can make your stay perfect!

The neighborhood

The neighborhood is eclectic and diverse, and it's extremely close to downtown. It's not right in the middle of the traffic so it's quiet and has ample free parking on the street, yet it's close enough to walk everywhere. We love it!

Getting around

It's extremely easy to walk (1/2mile downtown), and right down our street is the main bus transit (Moore Square station). Cabs are ~$3-5 to and around downtown. Additionally, rickshaws can take you home for generous tips after a long night on the town :) Uber or Lyft can take you to/from the airport for $20 (or a cabs is ~$40), and there are also buses (Triangle Transit and CAT) that transport people to/from downtown too.

Other things to note

Please work out a check-in time with us that is agreeable to guests & hosts. To keep our price low, we must work full-time jobs & don't have a staffed front desk awaiting check-ins. Please try to be as accurate as possible with your check-in times, as we will try to accommodate your flexibility too.

Sara And Lindy User ProfileSara And Lindy is a superhost.

Hey! We're Sara and Lindy, and we're just crazy about downtown Raleigh. We are young professionals that enjoy traveling, music, and the outdoors- backpacking, hiking, canoeing, etc. When we're not outside, you can find us indulging in the eclecticism of Raleigh, frequenting our favorites and exploring new restaurants, galleries, shops, breweries and pubs downtown. First Fridays are our favorites, where many local artists showcase their masterpieces all over downtown. We love hosting on Airbnb because we love to host family and friends in our home, and it's a wonderful way to meet new folks that share that passion with us :^) That being said, we can also be very "hands-off" hosts, ensuring your privacy but remaining a simple phone call or text away. We'd love to welcome you to downtown Raleigh!
