This room is situated on the second floor of a comfortable, clean, and newly remodeled historic house just a couple blocks from Moore Square in downtown Raleigh. Your cozy bedroom offers privacy within a vibrant community setting. In the room, you can relax on an uber-comfy queen-sized bed while watching 350+ channels on your flat screen TV or utilizing our super-fast Wi-Fi internet. You also have your own stylish bathroom outfitted with a clawfoot tub and shower. Basics such as shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and towels are provided. It's important to note that smoking is not allowed (recently quit!). You can also use the gas grill and patio furniture on the back deck if you wish.

The house has a friendly dog, a harlequin Dane-mix named Oliver, who just LOVES guests. Don't worry, he's super lazy and will sleep 23 hours a day. He's also accompanied by an adorable grey Persian-Himalayan cat named Playdoh, or Monster, whichever you prefer :) They're both extremely friendly and pose no harm while you're here. The 1/3 acre property also has a fenced-in backyard for Oliver.

Many of your needs can be satisfied by walking just a few blocks downtown. The neighborhood is transitional, with mostly single-family dwellings and one apartment complex. • My husband and I had a great time staying with Sara and Lindy in Raleigh! Cute cozy room in their darling restored bungalow. Walking distance to the event we were attending made it perfect. Sarah and Lindy were wonderful to us and did everything possible to make our stay the best! They were so considerate and concerned that things were just right for us. We'll definitely stay again if we need a place in the area!

  • This was a great place to stay. It was in a lovely neighborhood close enough to walk to nearly everything downtown, but far enough away to be quiet. The room and bathroom were clean, attractively decorated and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and easy to get along with.

  • Sara and Lindy's place was wonderful. Walking distance from great selection of bars and restaurants and convenient to many other parts of town. I am planning to move to Raleigh in the near future and they were a wealth of information about the city. Gave me plenty of privacy but they were also open for conversation and even a dinner out. Room was comfy, quiet and exactly as described. I'd stay again anytime!

  • I had a great stay. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I had an morning appointment across the street from the old capitol and was able to walk there in 18 minutes. I enjoyed the pets. Oliver was super friendly.

  • Sara and Lindy were warm and welcoming, and truly made me feel at home. I had the upstairs to myself; it was well kept and had everything I needed. Their location is great - less than a 5 minute drive downtown, easily walkable in better weather. Their guestbook has a list of Raleigh travel suggestions, but they were also quick to respond with further information. Would definitely recommend staying with them next time you're in Raleigh!

About
Hey! We're Sara and Lindy, and we're just crazy about downtown Raleigh. We are a young professionals that enjoy traveling, music, and the outdoors- backpacking, hiking, canoeing, etc. When we're not outside, you can find us indulging in the eclecticism of Raleigh, frequenting our favorites and exploring new restaurants, galleries, shops, and pubs downtown. First Fridays are our favorites, where many local artists showcase their masterpieces all over downtown. We're excited to try AirBNB because we love to host family and friends in our home, and this seems like a wonderful way to meet new folks that share that passion with us :^) That being said, we can also be very "hands-off" hosts, ensuring your privacy but remaining a simple phone call or text away. We'd love to welcome you to downtown Raleigh, and even if you don't end up staying here, let us know if you have questions about the area.
