Comfortable, peaceful, and private, this room is the perfect home-base for your NYC travels. We're on a tree-lined block, a 10-minute walk to the nearest subway, & half block to convenient buses & bike rentals. Roof access with an awesome view!
When you want a comfortable, peaceful, and private space to live while visiting NYC, look no farther.
Not only is the room in a great location on a tree-lined classic Brooklyn block, but the walls are painted a soothing blue and uplifting artwork will surround you. It fits one or two people comfortably.
A lot of love went into setting up the room in hopes that you'll have an awesome and comfortable stay. We love hosting people and would love for you to experience our home!
In the room, you'll find a homemade guidebook with our tips on transportation, dining, and basics of the apartment and the neighborhood.
You'll have shared access to the bathroom, kitchen, and living room.
There's also roof access for beautiful views of the city, as well as tables and chairs up there if you enjoy picnics!
We like to interact just enough to make you feel comfortable, welcomed, and help you navigate the neighborhood, but still have your own space and privacy.
The trees and old buildings on our block and the surrounding area are beautiful! You'll really feel like you're in classic Brooklyn. I love the neighborhood feel and the local restaurants and bars.
We're a 10-minute walk to the nearest train, which is the G train. The G train doesn't go directly into Manhattan - you have to make one transfer, which is pretty simple.
A half block away are convenient buses that can take you to different subway lines or different parts of Brooklyn like Williamsburg, Park Slope, etc.
Citibike rentals are conveniently on our block, which is probably the most fun way to get around!
We're a short walk from Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), Pratt Institute, and amazing restaurants and bars. We are on one of the most beautiful tree-lined blocks in Brooklyn, too.
It's about a 30-minute cab ride from JFK Airport with no traffic, or a 20-minute cab ride from LaGuardia Airport with no traffic.
Beautiful place ! The room is pretty, comfortable, living room is also good ! Everything is clean, and the roommate Jessica is the best! Helpful, friendly !
The location is 10min to walk until Clinton Washington Avenues Station, subway G. You have to make transfer to go to Manhattan. It can be low, because G train not come quickly.
But area is safe, there are also a lot of shop around, and also laundromat downstair
Jessica was great. The room was exactly what I needed. Bed was comfortable and it was super quiet, even on a Saturday night. Thank you for being such a great host!
Top location, Jess is great, helpful with any request you might have, very friendly and...have the nicest rooftop terrace to enjoy view over Manhattan. Everything there was relaxed and easy, perfect to go downtown or walk around in Brooklyn. Jess made our first stay in NYC something we will definitely remember! Thanks again for all!
Enjoyed my stay at Jessica's. She was a cordial hostess and the apartment was clean and quiet. It was a good neighborhood and with lots of great places to eat nearby.
This my first time using Airbnb and I could not have had a better experience. Jessica was very friendly and whole apartment was very clean. She is nice enough to provide a small little guidebook with the local bests and some tips for people new to the area.
The next time I head back to NYC, I will have to consider staying here!
This was my first time booking and it was great :)
I registered to airbnb and a few days later, I booked Jess's room, mostly because she had so many positive reviews. Jess was really kind, helpful and flexible, when it comes to checking in/out,
Jessica was a pleasure to stay with. Her home is very nice, cosy and clean, in quiet neighborhood of Brooklyn. I was on a bit of a crazy schedule while in New York this time, so it was really nice of her that she so very flexible and trusting in terms of communications and finding solutions to give me the keys without meeting in person. Luckily I got to meet her in person on the third day, and we had a nice exchange before I had to head of to the airport.
Overall, we enjoyed our our 2 night stay with Jessica. She is a super sweetheart of a hostess. The room was very clean and comfortable as was the apartment. Clinton Hill is a changing neighborhood with several bars and restaurants right around the corner. We personally enjoyed spending our time at Splitty which is a fairly new bar with a really cool camper design. They not only serve amazing pastrami buns but they also have the nicest bartender (Joe) we've met anywhere. He's a true gem.
The location was nice with Citi Bikes available for rent right down the block. Although, we quickly realized after our first weekday morning in the neighborhood that all the Citi Bikes were snatched up by early commuters so we never got the chance to rent one. This is key to getting to other more convenient subway stations in the neighborhood we learned. The only drawback to staying in this neighborhood was the subway system with the closest train being a short walk to the G line which is not very convenient to get to from the city as it only runs between Brooklyn and Queens. We did a lot of walking which is what you're supposed to do in New York although I prefer to do a lot of my walking in the city or Williamsburg. I will admit that walking down Myrtle Ave passing by Fort Greene Park and catching the magnificent city view from the rooftop were definite highlights of our stay. Tip: There were a lot of subway service interruptions during our stay which made it very difficult for us to get back to the area from the city both days so make sure you stay on top of service interruptions by going to the MTA website. Those subway attendants can be worthless.
This was a perfect place to stay for my week in Brooklyn, and Jessica was a great host with plenty of recommendations and helpful information.
The neighborhood had lots of coffee shops, bars, and restaurants, and within a few days, I had found some favorites. It was also nice to hop on the subway a few blocks down the street and explore the rest of Brooklyn knowing I had an easy-to-find "home" to which I could return at the end of the day.
The apartment itself was very comfortable, and I quickly felt at home. I had access to everything I needed. There are two nice, new HE washers and two dryers in the building. As I mentioned, Jessica was very helpful, and even when she was not there, she was easy to reach via text for any questions I had.
This would be my first choice for future NYC stays.
Jessica was wonderful and very helpful.
The apartment is nice and well located.
Thank you very much, I had a great time.
