Come stay in a bright bedroom with a queen-size bed, built-in closet, and a nightstand. It's on the upper level of our townhouse-style condo.
The attached bathroom has a shower and skylight (for observing the gray Portland skies or rare but delicious sunshine). Downstairs you'll find a spacious kitchen, and you're welcome to cook up some breakfast there. You can also store your picnic ingredients in our fridge until you need them.
Walk out the door and you're about half way between Alberta Street (think coffee shops, bars, boutiques, and the notorious Last Thursday extravaganzas) and the Dekum neighborhood (more coffee, and a brewery).
The bus to Downtown leaves about two block from our doorstep, and you can also walk to the yellow line MAX. There's an easy bike route to downtown, too.
There's a cute grocery coop on Alberta (about 10-15 minutes walking), and a supermarket about three blocks away in case you need any essentials. During the summer, there is a farmer's market nearby every Sunday morning.
If it works with our schedule and fits into your plans, we're happy to give you a ride or help you decide how to explore and enjoy the city.
***In case you or someone you know may be looking for a place in Portland this winter, we'd love to have someone stay with us from late November until January. The dates are somewhat flexible, and we'd be open to working out a lower rate for the longer stay.***
Andrea was great. She's quiet and sweet. Her home is immaculate. Very cozy and minimal which is right up my alley. It was a huge perk to have our own bathroom and have it connect directly with the bedroom. We had never been to Portland and were worried about not staying in the downtown area. Turns out we loved the Alberta neighborhood and food more than any other location in Portland.
It was a pleasure to stay with Andrea. Everything was exactly as depicted on the listing, and it was also very clean. Andrea was very helpful with recommendations for things to do in Portland during our stay. Would be happy to stay again. =)
What a beautiful, bright space that is perfect to stay at while exploring Portland! It was a lovely visit. The hosts were quite gracious and their cat was so nice to our enthusiastic toddler.
The room was exactly as promised clean with lots of natural light. Andrea was very friendly and we quickly felt comfortable in her home. She also offered information on local events which we found useful. Was a great home base for our trip around Portland. With Alberta street being a walkable distance we often would start our day off right at Pine State Biscuits.
Andrea's place is extremely nice and well located. I had an excellent stay here in Portland and will not hesitate to stay again!
The room is truly wonderful - bright, spacious and very clean. The bathroom is great too. Andrea was very responsive and great pleasure to communicate with. I had a wonderful stay and good rest.
Beautiful clean and simple room. Close to everything. We enjoyed our short stay. Thank you!
Exactly as described, the bedroom and private bathroom is nice and clean. We enjoyed the natural light that came through the room too. Andrea was very accommodating of our late flight in, making check in as well as everything else smooth.
Andrea was kind and warm and welcoming. The room was clean and bright in a lovely home. We easily walked to the Alberta Arts District. I would definitely stay here again.
My stay at Andreas home was perfect! The room is exactly as you see and very clean. I had a bike with me which they kindly let me keep in the house. I was offered the use of the kitchen but I didn't have the need as my stay was so brief. The neighbourhood offers great restaurants and shops and has easy access to downtown, the highway etc. I wouldn't hesitate to stay with Andrea again!
