Our stay at Glenn's place was great! The house is beautiful, and the room is spacious and cozy. We enjoyed privacy and great coffee in the mornings. The house is a short walk from some wonderful restaurants, some of which were recommended by Glenn. We'd definitely stay here again!
The muted colors, art on the walls and window views of Glenn and Virginia’s restoration made us feel at home, only better due to the esthetics. Both the park view to the front and the back view to the garden gave the place a rustic feel even through it was so close to the city. There was plenty of privacy as well as great access for questions. Glenn and Virginia were gracious and accommodating. The simplicity of the host\guest setup promoted an easy common sense feel to settling in and being comfortable, also for getting out and doing stuff. There was plenty of good reading material on the shelves of the suite, and I used a trail book to pick out a close-by excursion to Olney Pond. Glenn recommended Loie Fuller's, a nearby restaurant that surprised us with its chic décor and farm goodness. I enjoyed the pets, Gretta and Mr. Big. They were alert and greeted us as we came and went. There was good coffee in the mornings. I hope I have an opportunity to go back soon.
Cleaner and better outfitted than most fine hotels. The entire house has been remodeled recently and is beautiful and well appointed. We stayed over a week and were not only very comfortable in our quarters but enjoyed using the table in the yard as well. Glenn and Virginia were the perfect hosts. We have stayed in several places in Providence, including the expensive hotels, but this was the best.
Glenn and Virginia offer an easy, comfortable stay in a cottage and room that come as billed. The room is very spacious, open, with ample light and a huge desk. I highly recommend the space. I only wish I could I have stayed longer, and I certainly would stay here again next time if it's available.
Glenn and Virginia are very nice people.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, the house is just 20 minutes walking from the city center and a taxi ride costs only 10$.
Therefore we recommend to stay with Glenn if you're in Providence.
Glenn & Virginia were amazing! The room & house were super neat, everything was just perfect! We are definitely coming back...and I believe very very soon! Virginia gave us some amazing recommendations, as well as Glenn was amazing with different ways to get around the city! Thank you guys! Oksana

Revitalized west side of Providence is bustling with new activity, but the treasures of its historic architecture remain. Among them is this beautiful home in the Armory district tastefully restored by its architect owners with every modern convenience. Terrific new restaurants are to be found within walking distance. Old favorites just a stone's throw away on Federal Hill.
So, if you plan to be in Providnece for an extended stay, I highly recommend staying here. You won't find more gracious hosts than this active couple who are quick to help with recommendations and guidance about where to find the best in the neighborhood, city, or state.
It was a perfect place for me while I attended summer session classes at RISD. College Hill is just 2.5 miles away, but other areas in Rhode Island are easily accessible by jumping on nearby Route 10 or I-95 / I-195.
The spacious bedroom was extremely comfortable even in a period of record breaking heat. The adjacent sitting area with a large desk was an excellent place or me to work on class assignments. On some of those warm July evenings, the peaceful back garden provided an oasis of cool shade accompanied by Gretta and Mr.Big prowling silently amid the gorgeous perennial plantings. Truly, it was a home away from home.
Great stay with Glenn and Virginia. Couldn't have asked for better hosts in Providence. Loved it and now have a nice couple to call as friends in Providence! Place is great on the inside they made me feel right at home.
Wonderful hosts ; great place to stay. Glenn has become a friend in the area now and I liked it so much I am staying another month. If this place is available stay here great couple and spacious place.
