Great west side location. Right across the street from the beach. Quiet neighborhood and lots of privacy.
Please don't hesitate to use our Instant Book feature! :)
Studio Apartment located on first story of two story house. Private access via walkway. Enough space for 3-4 people or small family.
We have pets on the property, but are never allowed in the studio and we keep them away from linens in case of guest allergies. You are more than welcome to say hello to our very friendly dog, Bear. :)
Just a minute walk from Kekaha Beach where you can enjoy gorgeous Hawaii sunsets. Five minute drive to Waimea town there you will find a grocery store and several restaurants. Thirty minute drive to Polihale State Beach (the longest stretch of white sand beach in Hawaii). Also enjoy a drive up to the mountains to see the beautiful Waimea Canyon.
Please be aware that there are mosquitos and usually more during rainy times. The climate we live in makes it very hard to get rid of them for more than a few days. We recommend keeping the screen door closed at all times unless you enjoy playing hide-and-seek all night with these little bloodsuckers. Also, possibly pick up some repellant before arriving.
Comes with queensize bed in bedroom, futon couch that lays out into a bed, and extra fold out futon upon request.
The partial kitchen includes hot plate, sink, coffee maker, and basic pots and pans with utensils. There is also a mini fridge (small freezer) as well. We are more than happy to supply you with more cooking supplies if requested.
Full bathroom with shower, linens provided. Parking right outside property gate, close to entrance.
Interaction with Guests
Most interaction and communication will be via email, text, or call. We respect our guests privacy and space as well as keep very busy schedules ourselves, though our guests are still a top priority to us and if there are any questions or concerns we will help as much as possible.
We are very flexible with check in/check out times and will try to accommodate to your travel schedule.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions or concerns. We are happy to help! You are welcome to come upstairs as well if you have questions or don't have a phone/access to email.
Our neighborhood is very quiet and right across the beach.
Depending on the tide and weather, the small beach across the street has a nice tidepool to swim in.
Our home is:
~40minutes from Lihue Airport.
~30minutes drive up to Waimea Canyon
~20minutes from Polihale State Park
~30minutes to Poipu
~1hr30minutes to north shore (Hanalei)
Drive times may seem long (the views are incredible) but this is because Kauai is very country and nothing is close together. Every side of the island is different and holds its own special charm and hidden gems. Plan accordingly to see them all!
Public transportation is not a convenient or efficient option.
Highly recommend renting a car.
Please note that we are located on the west side of Kauai.
Other Things to Note
There are two phone numbers listed, one is my dad, Martin, and the other is mine. We both manage the listing together and are happy to hear from you.
No smoking inside the studio.
Please try to remove all food waste before your check out.
Most importantly, do not leave the gate open. When we walk our dog he might run out of the yard.
Enjoy your stay!
Petit appartement sympa, propre et bien placé pour faire le canyon de Waimea et le Kokee State Park. Je recommande :-)
Jeana was laid back and flexible about the check-in time, which was helpful for me as I wasn't sure much time I would take to explore Pt Allen and Waimea along the way from Poipu. Martin was friendly and welcoming when I finally arrived a couple hours later than planned. Jeana's recommendations for lunch and dinner spots were solid.
A quaint, simple little place, facing a serene cemetery. If you want to watch the sun set over the ocean, the nearest viewing point is just a couple of minutes walk away. I recommend making the extra effort to drive up to Polihale State Park (a dirt road for the last 4 miles) for a 'pure' experience.
I will definitely consider staying here again when I venture out to Kekaha.
Jeana's apartment was a perfect getaway for us on our trip to Kauai. Private, clean and comfortable.
Small but adequate. No one to meet us so we wound up in wrong place. Across the street from a cemetery so neighborhood is quiet. You can hear the sounds of the waves. The whole place (towels included) had a musky smell. Close to "The Cottages" for reasonably priced good food and drinks.
Jeana's place was great. Clean comfortable and quiet with a nice sandy walking beach across the street. Great for accessing Waimea Cyn. Kitchen had everything you would need, but we ate out.
This was completely what we had in mind for this studio. Really nice and clean and everything you want for your stay on Kaua'i. Beautiful surroundings and very close to the Waimea Canyon, go there!
Free wifi was incredible fast and the beaches on the leeward side of Kaua'i are great. Get yourself the very juicy oranges for the best orangejuice ever, free to pick in the garden. Thanx Martin and Jeana!
Nice place, very clean and comfortable.
Very close to good walking beach, but a couple of houses off the highway, so traffic noise is not bothersome.
Kekaha is mellow and very authentic, a good contrast to the east and north side. Close to Waimea Canyon.
Hosts are friendly but seem to prefer minimal interaction.
