We loved Gordon's art work, the proximity to great grocery stores and cafes, eating on his nice deck and of course, meeting Gordon. Gordon was great at communicating with us. He was very helpful with transportation, etc. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable.
Gordon was so professional and accommodating. He quickly replied to every inquiry. His brownstone is lovely and the room was so clean and warm. It felt like a retreat. And, I love the the Ft. Greene area so, it is the perfect choice for me. I am a former New Yorker so, I felt right at home.
I can't say enough wonderful things about Gordon. After having another Airbnb host cancel on us 3 days before our trip, my husband and I frantically searched for another place to stay in Brooklyn with our 18 month old son. We are so fortunate to have found Gordon. His booking process was easy and he was very accommodating to us traveling with a toddler. Even though the rental was for a private room, we were able to use the kitchen to make our sons breakfast and also had access to the backyard. Our son loved playing in the backyard and we enjoyed sitting in the tranquil space while he napped. Fort Greene is a terrific neighborhood with great restaurants and cafes. There are also numerous parks and playgrounds within a few blocks that we visited during our stay. All in all, a fantastic experience.
Our room was nice and the neighborhood is really awesome. Great food nearby and nice places to walk, fairly easy subway access. Gordon was a very nice host though we didn't see too much of him since he was away for most of our time. However, he diligently checked on us and made sure we were comfortable, and answered any questions we had immediately. He's a very nice guy and we enjoyed meeting him. Definitely recommend this nice spot in Brooklyn. It even has a nice little backyard garden where I enjoyed a relaxing book.
The host made us feel very welcome when we saw him the following days after our arrival. There is lots of information about him on the walls of the hall, about his career in the music industry. His house ia fabulous, the kitchen and living room especially, lots of modern art just to our taste. Our room and its bed, very comfortable, and the bathroom handsome. We chose to stay with Gordon because he lives close to our son and his family and plan to return.
