This is a high-end elegant home. It is professionally decorated and appointed with valuable art and antiques. We appreciate and insist upon renters who respect and value the elegance and uniqueness of our property. MOVING FURNITURE is not acceptable. So please do not attempt. Others have in past and caused damage. There will be a penalty applied!
For long term rentals there is an additional monthly cleaning fee for a housekeeper to clean and wash linens every 2 weeks. Cost is $200.
If our home is left damaged or in poor condition deposit or a portion of it will be forfeited.
There are no parties or your deposit will be forfeited. There is a $50 late check out fee if not pre-approved by the homeowner.
In this mountain gem of a community enjoy one of Southern California's best-kept secrets. Our home is a retreat for writers, perfect for a romantic or family mountain getaway. It is a quiet retreat to refresh from stress, or even a 'girls weekend' getaway! Please check our calendar for availability before inquiring. Located on a nice, QUIET street yet a few minutes from the Village and clubhouse, our home is three-stories, has a light and airy feeling with its vaulted ceiling, wet bar, wood fireplace, sleeps SIX (6 only) - three bedrooms (a king-size bed and a large walk-in closet, two twin beds, and a queen bed) and two and quarter baths, a game room w/air hockey, table tennis, wood-burning stove, and sofa (full size) bed.
Sorry, we cannot accommodate more than SIX (6) occupants at any time.
Any more guests will be billed at $50/night.
Our home is beautifully decorated with a mix of modern and antique furnishings by Sigrid Insull acclaimed interior designer and contains upscale amenities (we offer Ph balanced water for Keurig, bathrooms with custom soaps, lotions, organic hand sanitizers & fluffy towels, coffee, hot chocolate, teas, Keurig coffeemaker and variety of Kcups), bring your own KCups as well, in addition to snowblower w/electric starter. Our kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cutlery, cookware of all kinds you may utilize. Kitchen basics lists- Pots and pans, salt and pepper & cooking oil. We try to make cooking oil regularly available, but there may be times when best to bring your own as we cannot always replenish if cooking oil runs out. There is a spice rack, however.
Heating and air conditioning with a NEST thermostat.
We also have a RING doorbell with video that allows monitoring and operation of the front exterior remotely.
In addition, there is an ADT alarm system with exterior cameras for home security purposes.
So please be aware that all motion detected is monitored and recorded for home security.
Tampering/occluding of cameras is grounds for reservation cancellation.
Our home is VERY clean and comfortable (2000+ square ft) with unobstructed mountain views. Our deck faces east affording stunning sunrises.
In the garage: charger for your electric car-50 amps 220 volt outlet in the garage to accommodate. (Best to charge after hours.)
Bring your CD's and we have Direct HDTV & smart TVs & SmartBlu Ray DVD players. Streaming services available as listed.
Apple TV remote in Living Room TV.
During spring and summer there is a table w/four chairs & umbrella, and two Adirondack chairs, & a bench on the deck w/beautiful view of the mountains. There's also a propane grill (back up propane tank in garage) and grill utensils.
If you are looking for a close, relaxing, year-round getaway, and appreciate a clean and upscale home, we welcome you. Attention has been paid to EVERY detail in our home, and we offer amenities not typical of most vacation rentals here on the Mountain!
A phone (with answering machine) is available for local calls; long-distance calling is not available & any calls over the ordinary will be deducted from deposit.
Note: Cell service IS available on the Mountain via VERIZON only. Other cell services will not be useful up here at this time.
In the event of an illness/emergency call 911 as Fire Dept. & Paramedics are located nearby in the Village.
We do have a housekeeper but we ask tenants to tidy up a bit prior to leaving if at all possible.
All cleaning supplies are provided under kitchen sink, if needed.
HOWEVER-Please NOTE:
Rules regarding wildlife 7.06 and 7.07
7.06 No unattended freezers, refrigerators, ice chests, food containers or similar devices containing food may be placed outside on a member’s property. All empty freezers, refrigerators, ice chests, food containers or similar devices that are stored outside must be sanitized with bleach to eliminate all food odors prior to storing them outside.
WE do not allow pets due to severe allergy issues but we have HOA rules regarding any type of domestic pet in the Pine Mountain Club community.
7.07 Domestic animals must be fed inside the members dwelling or outside the dwelling if the member, resident, or guest is in attendance. If there is any food leftover after the feeding it must be promptly removed. Food left outside unsupervised is considered feeding the wild life.
We would also like to remind all members and guests of Association Rule 4.07: Pets shall not be left outside unattended between dusk and dawn. This rule was designed for the safety of everyone’s pets, and for the residents who are kept awake at night because someone’s dog is barking constantly.
Further elaboration of PMCPOA rules will be in the contract emailed to you once you have booked which then must reviewed signed & returned.

Guest access
Guests have access to entire house. Rental includes guest passes (up to six can be made available when requested) to Pine Mountain Club House facilities: golf, tennis, however NOT needed for restaurant & bar.
Pool: (closed in winter time)
To enter the pool area & open the gate, you must have the WHITE POOL KEY card (Do not lose as you will be billed 100$ to replace it).
Orange member-guest card and your I.D. required for each guest.
Guest under the age of 8 can accompany an adult, and do not need their own card.
If you plan on using the pool, they only give out the guest passes at the business office. So you need to get to the office before 5 p.m. Its open M-Sat til 5PM. Daily 5$ POOL use fee MUST be paid in businesss office for Each guest. EACH DAY.
Guests under the age of 8 do not need to pay this fee.
If you have not signed a Pool Liability Form you must sign the form before entering the pool.
Member cards must be accompanied with the member. A member card allows the member to bring in six guests at a time. Guest cards allow one guest per card.
Short Term Renters, please know you will be ID’d at the pool gate and your guest card must have your name, your tract and lot number. All swimming is at your own risk.
The pool hours will be lap swim from 8 am to 10 am. The pool is closed from 10 am to noon. Open swim is from noon to 7 pm and lap swim is from 7 pm to 8 pm.
We will have only one gate to enter from at this time and that is the gate by the tennis court/parking lot.
The pool is 4 ft deep at both ends and 5 ft deep in the middle.
Please remind your children there is absolutely no diving in the pool or jumping in. The pool is for your enjoyment but use it wisely and obey the rules. There will be no “showering” with soap and shampoo at the pool showers. Rinse before entering the pool and you can rinse after using the pool. There are two restrooms, water fountains between the restrooms, and a changing room.
There are many hiking trails all through the area. How to locate them will be in Survival Guide binder left for guests in kitchen.
Other things to note
Long-term booking of a month or longer requires housekeeping to attend to the house cleaning needs, linens change, restocking needs, etc. every two weeks throughout the stay at guest additional expense.
Located at the 5,600-foot level, our mountain home provides a nearby destination with a quiet and remote atmosphere. Pine Mountain Club has a true four-season mountain climate, and is a perfect year-round destination for a getaway!

We love animals but due to severe allergies we can't accept them at our home.
Due to our elevation (5,600 ft) on the Mountain, SNOW may be present during cooler months. While our roads are well-maintained, area CHP requires that you carry chains (or have a 4x4 vehicle) when snow is possible.
