House Rules

I am happy to host children but I am afraid the house is not particularly toddler friendly as the attic rooms are up two flights of stairs, the floors are mainly wooden or flagstones and there are several flagstone steps between rooms. Not ideal I am afraid for little legs. I am sorry, no dogs as the surrounding countryside normally provides a muddy coat and paws that are unsuitable inside.

Annie was so wonderful and helpful. Any time I had a problem--which was so rare--she was right there to fix it. Very kind and welcoming!

We had a wonderful time at the Farmhouse in Hornton. Annie and Mike were great! Accommodations were very comfortable; breakfasts very tasty. So appreciated Annie coming to find us when we got lost on our way to the house.

First, let me say that this house is STUNNING and the village is absolutely adorable! Our GPS/SatNav lead us directly to Annie and Mike's home and it was more than we bargained for. We were greeted with hugs and hot tea in the beautiful front garden. The room was spacious and the bathroom was gorgeous. We had the entire attic level to ourselves -- it was a sweet suite! Annie made reservations for us at the Rose & Crown pub, which serves a superb dinner menu. Mike graciously cooked a full English breakfast before we hit the road the next day. I've inquired about Annie adopting me -- the jury's still out! Excellent stay. I highly recommend this beauteous home.

Staying in this ancient Hornton farmhouse was a wonderful experience. Ample, private space upstairs including a huge separate bathroom. Annie and Mike were the perfect hosts, and Annie's delicious breakfasts kept one running through most of the day! The village is like the postcard of the small, tranquil English one I'd had in my mind. Very convenient to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, too. All in all, a perfect choice if I do say so myself!

Annie is a wonderful host who will welcome you warmly into her home. Such a lovely and interesting person with great culinary skills. This is a great place to stay, it has everything you need and is very baby friendly (we stayed with our 4 1/2 month old daughter). We would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to star in the area. Thank you Annie.
