Enjoy a private bedroom with a double bed and a full modern bath in our renovated 1920 home in one of Atlanta's premier intown neighborhoods. Your guest room and bath is on the 2nd floor, so there is lots of privacy. Our neighborhood is full of beautiful old homes and many old growth trees, so be sure to take a walk and enjoy the neighborhood. Our location is great and near several major amenities - aboyt 1/2 mile to the MARTA rapid rail station, High Museum of Art, Woodruff Symphony Hall, Piedmont Park, and Atlanta Botanical Gardens; and near the Beltline Eastside trail.
Several restaurants and shopping areas are within walking distance or slightly further than a mile if you enjoy walking. If you are arriving by air, take MARTA to the Arts Center station and we will generally be able to pick you up at the station.
Relax in our screened in front and back porch with a swing and hammock.
We are flexible with check in and check out times, but let us know your planned arrival and departure time when you make your reservation.
Feel free to use our kitchen and refrigerator. We have basics - juice, coffee, tea, yogurt, cereal, fruit - for your to help yourself to a light breakfast during the week. If our schedules mesh on weekends, we enjoy having our guests join us for a cooked breakfast.
Interaction with Guests
We love to tell you about our favorite restaurants and places to walk.
We are close to the Marta station, so it is any easy train ride to downtown, Georgia Tech, Midtown and Buckhead.
Neat and clean will make us happy.
"Cozy room..." Check. "in beautiful neighborhood..." Check. The rest of the description was equally apt, maybe even a bit understated. The house is very attractive and comfortable and the neighborhood is clearly one of the best in Atlanta. I felt comfortable and welcome in Paula and Chuck's home. I was alone, but the accommodations (including closet) would be equally comfortable for two people.
Chuck picked me up at the MARTA station upon my arrival even though I arrived fairly late. Paula dropped me off there Saturday morning on my return trip, although I was all set to walk. On the interim days, I walked twice daily between their home and MARTA - only about a 10 minutes - to get to and from a conference downtown. There is almost no traffic anywhere around and I felt safe. Had I walked with my luggage I might have used the paved street because there is almost no traffic and the sidewalks are old, cracked, and somewhat hazardous.
I would definitely stay here again if/when I return to Atlanta.
While I was I was definitely out most of the time I was in Atlanta when I did have time to visit with Paula and Chuck they were nothing but great. They were even able to be flexible with my check in time when I was able to arrive at their home 3 hours earlier than expected.
Their home was beautiful, located in a gorgeous neighborhood, and had any accommodation I could've needed for staying the night.
I would absolutely recommend using them to anyone.
Paula and Chuck were probably the most friendly and hospitable folks I've met. Their house was lovely with really nice furnishings. It was clean and they had plenty of extras in the bathroom vanity.
We loved the neighborhood. We were close to Fox Theater for the Sam Smith concert, Atlantic Station, and many places to eat. The neighborhood is great for walking. The house is beautiful and there was plenty of privacy on the 2nd floor of the house where the room and bathroom are located. Paula and Chuck were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed delicious coffee and breakfast. The eggs and grits were the best. We also enjoyed very good conversations with Paula and Chuck as well. This was our first time using Air BnB and we will definitely use it again.
Paula and Chuck were very hospitable. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. They made me feel very welcome. It's hard to ask for anything more.
Paula and Chuck were gracious hosts. They accommodated us for our one-night stay. At the last minute, my husband and I decided to attend a combination 40th birthday party (daughter-in-law), 10th wedding annniversary (son and daughter-in-law) and New Year's Eve party.
Their house is in the historic Ansley Park neighborhood which has beautiful older homes. There was plenty of street parking. It was an easy and safe walk to Peachtree Street and restaurants and the location of the party.
Chuck met us at the door and we chatted for a while. He showed us around the house and our bedroom and bathroom on the second floor. The bed was comfortable and we had sufficient bedding to keep us warm throughout the night. The bathroom was was clean and the towels were generously sized.
The big plus was that Chuck cooked us delicious scrambled eggs and toast in the morning. We had a chance to converse with both Paula and Chuck over breakfast.
I highly recommend Paula and Chuck.
Chuck and Paula were really kind hosts to us. Chuck even helped us out with transport to and from the train station. It's a beautiful neighbourhood and a lovely house to stay in. They are very attentive hosts and Chuck gave very thorough instructions on how everything worked. I think guests who want attentive hosts will live this place. Chuck and Paula couldn't have been nicer to us and we had a very comfortable stay in a lovely area.
We've lived in Atlanta for 30 years. We enjoy the balmy weather and being outside. We work - Paula as an interior designer (commercial work) and Chuck as an architect (residential work). We enjoy our intown walks as well as hiking when we can. Paula bike rides to work and weekend jaunts.
