Enjoy a private bedroom with a double bed and a full modern bath in our renovated 1920 home in one of Atlanta's premier intown neighborhoods. Your guest room and bath is on the 2nd floor, so there is lots of privacy. Our neighborhood is full of beautiful old homes and many old growth trees, so be sure to take a walk and enjoy the neighborhood. Our location is great and near several major amenities, 4 blocks to the MARTA rapid rail station, High Museum of Art, Woodruff Symphony Hall, Piedmont Park, the Beltline Eastside trail, and Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
Several restaurants and shopping areas are within walking distance or slightly further than a mile if you enjoy walking. If you are arriving by air, take MARTA to the Arts Center station and we will pick you up at the station.
Relax in our screened in front and back porch with a swing and hammock.
Feel free to use our kitchen and refrigerator. Help yourself to a light breakfast during the week. On the weekends we usually cook eggs and grits to share with our guests.
We love to tell you about our favorite restaurants and places to walk.
We are close to the Marta station, so it is any easy train ride to downtown, Georgia Tech, Midtown and Buckhead.
Paula and Chuck are fantastic hosts. I selected their listing with high expectations after reading the many positive reviews about these gracious hosts and their welcoming home, and they still managed to delightfully surprise me.
The hosts are very modest in describing their offering. I got far more than just a "cozy room in a beautiful neighborhood." I also got a warm experience, comparable to visiting extended family, and a guided architectural walking tour of the parks near their home.
I highly recommend them for someone (or a couple) seeking to spend two or more nights in the heart of Atlanta, and there was lots of heart there.
Paula and Chuck were very gracious and hospitable hosts. There home is charming and located in a fantastic Atlanta neighborhood near the museum, botanical garden and aquarium. Great coffee shops and restaurants are nearby also. We would definitely stay with them again.
Paula and Chuck were very nice. I needed a place at the last minute and they accommodated for my schedule. We even went for a walk around their beautiful neighborhood. The wifi was fast, the bed was comfortable, the space was spotless, and they even provided me with breakfast. I had a great experience and you'd be lucky to meet people like Paula and Chuck.
They are the sweetest most amazing hosts. Not only were they extremely hospitable, they were caring. The room was very nice and private and clean. The area was a great area, safe, convenient. Chuck and Paula are amazing! Next time I'm back I'm Atlanta I'm staying with them for sure.
We came to Atlanta to visit a family member over the weekend. The home is in a beautiful neighborhood within walking distance of downtown and lovely Piedmont Park. Parking is available in front of the home. The home is very nice and well maintained. The room is on the second floor (hosts on the first floor) giving a nice feel of privacy. It was a comfortable size for the two of us and nicely furnished. An exceptionally clean and beautifully constructed bathroom was a doorway down the hall. Saving the best for last, the hosts (Paula and Chuck) were friendly, helpful and made us feel right at home. I wish we had more time during our visit to sit and chat with them. Next time :)
This was a great place to stay. I was looking for a place on very short notice (same day) and Chuck got right back to me. Two hours later, he was picking me up at the MARTA station and taking me to their home. I never saw Paula because our schedules didn't overlap, but Chuch took great care of me. He was attentive to my needs without being intrusive. I was very sleep deprived and was able to sleep in untl 10:00 AM without hearing a peep from my hosts. The room and bathroom were very clean and well organized, and the bed was very comfortable. I wanted to stay in that neighborhood because of its proximity to Peidmont Park, the Botanical Gardens, the High Museum, and the eastside Beltline. I didn't realize it would also be so lovely and so close to the midtown section of downtown, which is much more lively than the sleepy southern downtown area.
Staying with Paula and Chuck was fantastic. They were both very friendly and made us feel welcome in their home, even with our coming and going late in the evening. The room itself is cozy (as advertised) and very relaxing after a long day out. Chuck was even kind enough to provide us with a map of the area which made getting around much simpler.
The neighborhood is truly beautiful and worth taking the time to explore. I particularly liked a white modernist (at least, I think it's modernist. I'm sure Chuck could tell you better.) house at Inman Circle. A short walk away is the High Museum of Art which was the highlight of my time staying there. The High is also right next to the MARTA station, which makes getting around town easy since we didn't want to drive. There is also a shuttle to Atlantic Station, although the walk is nice too.
Overall, the experience was wonderful, and I would recommend it to anyway visiting Atlanta. I would definitely stay there again.
I really enjoyed my stay. Perfect location in one of Atlanta 's best neighborhoods. Very friendly and helpful hosts and a private and comfortable room. I loved listening to the birds. I will come back
Paula and Chuck were great! Their home is in the beautiful neighborhood of Ansley Park, walking distance from the MARTA, Atlantic Station, and arts district. Close to the hip neighborhood of Midtown and a stones throw to Piedmont Park! Chuck was very kind, picked me up from the MARTA station and gave me a brief tour of the neighborhood, which helped orient me around town. Their home was lovely, quaint and the cozy room and bathroom were perfect for my one-night stay! If you're ever in Atlanta and looking for a great, safe, homey place to board look no further.
Chuck and Paula were terrific. I needed a place for my parents to stay while in town. Instead of a hotel, it was much nicer for them to stay in the neighborhood. Chuck was very flexible about picking up the keys and showing me around the house. They made coffee in the morning and provided pleasant morning conversation with my parents! While we spent most of our time at my apartment or around town, Chuck and Paula made it clear that we were welcome to spend time in the house. I hope they keep using their home for airbnb, because I don't think my parents want to stay anywhere else in the future!
