About This Listing
Your own private cottage right in the city! Come and enjoy our newly remodeled cottage in the heart of Phinney Ridge!
NOTE: We scheduled the photo shoot before window blinds were installed - the blinds are in now, so rest easy, it's very private!
Our cottage is nestled behind the main house, and very private. The interior was recently remodeled, including new kitchenette, floors, bathroom, and a fresh coat of paint.
ADDITIONAL NOTE: The cottage is in our backyard patio directly adjacent to our main house, and the patio is a shared area. We are more than happy to share the area with you, just want you to know!
In the interest of full disclosure, please know that we do have one small pet - a yorkie mix who may greet you will a few enthusiastic barks that you might hear from the main house. She settles down pretty quickly after her initial greeting!
The cottage has a separate bedroom area (there is no door but it's definitely a separate space) with queen bed, and the main living area has couch with pull-out bed. So, you can sleep 4 if you need too (it would be sort of cozy, but still way better than a large hotel room!). The bedroom area also has a brand new stackable washer and dryer you are welcome to use.
DirectTV and wi-fi network is available!
We are located in Phinney Ridge, walking distance to Greenlake, and super easy access to popular areas such as downtown, Ballard, and Fremont neighborhoods. Not that you need to go that far though! We are off the main drag of Phinney Ave, but still only one block away from two bars, and 4 restaurants. (and there are many other bars and restaurants within easy walking distance). If you have kids, we are two blocks from Woodland Park Zoo (zoo and park). Right off the Metro 5 line bus, takes you right downtown.
If you have a car, street parking is almost always very easy (worst case you walk 1/2 block).
Very nice experience. My parents stayed for 10 days and found the cottage quite comfortable.
Sonal, your cottage was perfect for our needs in Seattle. Nicely appointed, clean and efficient. Very well located as well. We'll consider returning for future visits!
Cosy cottage in a very pleasant neighborhood next to Green Lake. Sonal and Marc have been very nice hosts and helped immediately in all cases. The cottage is as shown in the pictures. We used the sleeping sofa for our babies which was very convenient. Well equipped kitchen, even a blender for smoothies. We enjoyed our stay and definitly recommend this place - would return anytime! Anyhow, you need to know: when it's cold outside, it gets lousy cold in the cottage although there are several heaters. It takes a while to heat the cottage in the morning.
The location was accurately described and was the most compelling reason we chose this property. Property was as described in promotional material, but was inadequately maintained. Most notably, it was cold inside and the only heater was not sufficient to heat the place and rattled uncontrollably when used. We had to bring in an additional space heater lent to us by our daughter. In addition, there were non-working light bulbs and no extra blankets.
We are sorry to hear about your experience. There are four heaters in the unit that can be used to heat specific areas. While there is an extra blanket in the closet, we certainly could have provided you with an additional one. My husband was happy to replace the light bulbs as you indicated. We wish you the best of luck with your future airbnb experiences.
This was a great place to stay! Very close to all the great outskirt neighborhoods of Seattle.
