Studio is right off the ocean 1 block from Larcomar and walking distance to Lima's best restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The neighborhood is one of the most sought after in Lima, as well as being super safe.
The main property is on one of the best blocks in the city and one of the last classic homes on the Malecon. It used to be the Panamanian Embassy just a few years back before we moved in.
The neighborhood is very safe and right next to the Marriott hotel and the main ocean front promenade. It's also just blocks from the cities top restaurants, cinema, grocery stores, and the ocean. The Studio has a small separate patio (no view) with a table for hanging outside to read or just meditate.
The studio is on the first floor of the three story house and has a separate entrance with a private bath with shower, full bed, internet and a kitchenette with microwave, small fridge and coffee maker.
We are a Peruvian, Californian family that live above on the top two floors (no access to main house) and are on-site to help visitors get orientated to the city. Cleaning is included as needed during longer stays and upon departure as well.
You can also view the "guidebook" for the listing to get a clear sense of it's location, in relation to the best places to visit in Lima. The listings "guidebook" is also a great reference on how to make the most out of your visit to Lima from the perspective of seasoned travelers with an eye towards safety, authenticity, flavors, fun and history.
Guests have access to the Studio apartment and patio right in front of Studio.
Interaction with Guests
We do travel from time to time but are typically on site to help with orientation to the city and Peru. Free travel advice for all!
The neighborhood is walking distance to the best of what Lima has to offer, 1/2 block to beach and very safe.
Taxi's are cheap and everywhere, but are as well, but crowded even though cheaper.
Other Things to Note
Super strong Wi-Fi in the Studio
Were a family that lives above in the top two floors of the house (studio on first floor) so mellow guests are appreciated. Not the type of place for any heavy debauchery and no smoking on the property as the smell inundates the upper two floors. Otherwise, were easy going people that likes meeting people from around the world. Guests are provided with independent access to the main property and Studio so they can come and go as they please.
Excelente ubicación y Evelyn es encantadora. Estoy muy agradecida con su hospitalidad y trato afectuoso.
Nick and Evelyn's place was great. As they advertise, the location really can't be better for anyone wanting to see Lima -- it's right in the middle of most of the tourist sites. The hosts patiently answered our messages before we arrived, and Evelyn was there to greet us.
The only downside was that the room itself was a bit musty (being a basement), and there were a few bugs sharing the room with us. Otherwise, it was a great stay.
This apartment is located in a beautiful house in an upscale neighborhood, you can throw a stone from here and hit the Pacific ocean, Its small, clean and cheap. A good home base to explore from. I stayed for a week.
Evelyn was very nice, I arrived very late and she was up waiting for me and very helpful. The location is great, close to the malecon and the shopping center. The room is nice a little run down, there is no TV, and my fist day I had to shower with cold water as no one explained to me the water hitter had to be turned on. Overall it was a present stay.
The location was really excellent. 1 min from the beach. Taxi from the airport it costs 40-50soles. The place itself is enough for two people for a short stay, the patio is lovely, although you won't have daylight in the room.
Nick helped us feel comfortable and it was private. We were able to come and go as we pleased and he had a wealth of information for touristy things to do as well as some underground stuff. Would definitely recommend this for a couple or someone traveling on their own. Thanks Nick!
Nick and Evelyn were perfect hosts who received us late in the evening and immediately made us feel right at home. Their suggestions of places to see and things to do were spot on. The location couldn't be better. We will definitely reach out to them again if/when we pass through Lima in the future...
Were a Californian/Peruvian family who love the world and all it's variety. We have a tendency to bbq on weekends and stomp around the hosue speaking speaking some form of English, Spanish and Spanglish.
