My team and I are very sad that Mindy did not enjoy her stay. During the stay of any guest either myself or a member of my team is available by phone or text to handle any problems that might arise. Mindy had been in communication via this routes before her arrival, but made no attempt to contact me with any of her afore mentioned concerns. I am sure had she reached out to us we could have help her have a more pleasant experience.
Point in fact is that the most of her complaints are invalid.
The AC in my house works very well when it is needed. Perhaps there was difficultly in understanding how the thermostat worked. We also provide an instruction sheet on how to survive the summer heat at the house. If this sheet is followed the AC is rarely needed.
The ice dispenser was working for our previous guest so I can not say what that might have been, but all ended well and working.
The TV upstairs is a large flat screen with a built in DVD player. Again it does work and again it might simply have been not understanding the proper input commands to have it operate as desired.
The internet at the house is high speed satellite. It will go out on occasion and will need at times to be reset. This was explained both verbally prior to Mindy's arrival and is again reiterated in the welcome letter that is left for each guest.
The downstairs shower again was working without complaint from the previous guest, but to make it operate correctly you must pull down on the tub faucet outlet.
The upstairs deck is repainted every year at the end of our busy session. The house is at an elevation where there is much rain and some snow and freezing. This necessitates annually maintenance. Unfortunately it is coming to the end of our year and there might be a couple of rough spots, but the majority of the deck is well surfaced.
My house absolutely does not smell of urine in any way, shape or form. Please refer to the four other reviews that state how beautiful and clean the house was for their visits. My team takes GREAT pride in the presentation of the house and goes to great lengths to make sure everything is clean, fresh and inviting for each guests arrival. Which brings us to the point of animal hair on the downstairs sofa. My team vacuums all the sofas after each guest so that not only is there no pet hair, should the previous guests have had a pet, but we don't even want a stray human hair to be found by an incoming guest. Perhaps Mindy's need for Benadryl was the fact that she came into an area with new and different flora that was blooming and causing an allergic reaction.
We do have a couple of board games and many puzzles as well as books and magazines available to guests. They are located in the kids room upstairs so again perhaps Mindy simply didn't know where to look and if she had reached out during her stay we could have helped.
Every window in the house has custom cellular blind in place. The downstairs is especially suited for black out conditions should you want to sleep in late. Even the children's room upstairs has that potential. There are no coverings on the sliding glass doors as they are what offer our spectacular views of the valley.
Again I and my team are sorry Mindy did not enjoy her visit as all of our other guests hove in the past. We would have been more than happy to help her through any of her difficulties had she only asked.
