About this listing
My home is situated in a quiet neighborhood, and is walking distance to some of the cities best restaurants and music venues. Situated off of Blondo street, getting downtown or heading to West O is a snap.
A cozy 3 bedroom 1 bathroom home puts you near many great Omaha attractions.
There are three bedrooms - two on the main floor and one upstairs - each with a queen sized bed. I also have a queen sized air mattresses with a fluffy down topper for larger families.
My 1920's home only has one small bathroom so if you have several in your party you would need to be able to get along on this point. However, there are several mirrors in the bedrooms suitable for girls to put on their makeup, etc. and, there is an additional toilet in the basement.
My kitchen has all the essentials that you are welcome to use during your stay. I have two tv's, a washer and dryer, and an iron and ironing board to help make your stay comfortable. There is also a front porch with rocking chairs and a small patio area and grill in my back yard to enjoy.
I am within walking distance to downtown Benson which has two excellent coffee shops, some delicious restaurants, loads of craft beer, a beer arcade, and two excellent music venues (Waiting Room Lounge and Reverb Lounge). If you are lucky, the La Casa food truck will be parked right up the block.
The Downtown/Old Market area, Century Link Center, TD Ameritrade Park, Holland Performing Arts Center and Orpheum theater are an easy 15 minute drive. Henry Doorly Zoo (named the world's best) is a 20 minute drive. The Dundee area and Midtown Crossing are also around 15 minutes and you can access West Omaha's attractiaons in about 20 minutes. Omaha is a very easy city to navigate and we do not have heavy rush hour traffic to deal with.
I don't consider my place to be fancy or upscale however, it is a homey, clean, convenient and affordable way to enjoy events like the College World Series, Berkshire Days, college visits (I'm very close to both Creighton University and UNO), or whatever other reason brings you to Omaha.
It would be my pleasure to have you as my guest!
When you book the Charming Home, you have access to the entire house and all the amenities offered. I try to meet all guests upon arrival, but if our schedules conflict, I will communicate alternate arrangements for you to access the key.
Interaction with Guests
I will be staying with family and friends while you enjoy my home during your visit. I'm more than happy to help you get situated and offer suggestions on restaurants and entertainment during your stay. I want to make sure your visit to Omaha is the very best. Meeting people from all walks of life has made being a part of the Airbnb community a pleasure.
Located just blocks from eclectic and revitalized downtown Benson, my home is on a safe, quiet street, comfortable, and close to Omaha hot spots. I hope you will take advantage of the great coffee shops and restaurants just blocks away from you.
There are bus stops close but if you plan to use these please let me know ahead of time so that I can get you updated schedules, etc. Unfortunately, our public transportation services need an upgrade...but they are slowly getting better!
No Smoking inside. If smoking outdoors, all cigarette buds should be disposed of in a trash receptacle, not thrown on the ground.
No parties. Only registered Airbnb guests are allowed on and inside of the property unless you have made arrangements with the host.
This is my primary home and I expect guests to treat it as such. I work hard to afford and create a comfortable space, so please keep it that way.
and have fun! :)
My sister and I stayed at Natalie's house while we were in town visiting family. It really is near everything, or was for us! We made several trips down to the Benson downtown, including a yoga class, shoe shopping for my Dad, and hunting down a geocache located in the area rain garden. The neighborhood is quiet for the most part; neighbors had friends by and kids playing but nothing that was at all problematic. The house and beds were comfortable, with some of the charm and quirks of an older home. I really liked the towels in the bathroom and the flowers all around the house. We didn't hang out much outside but if it had been a bit cooler might have done so in the back. Natalie left a great folder with all sorts of suggestions of things to visit and do -- even though I used to live in Omaha it's been years so there are lots of great things to do.
Loved our stay in Omaha! Natalie was friendly and welcoming and had everything ready for our arrival. The house was lovely with beautiful decor and comfy beds. The living room was the perfect spot to relax each evening. The neighborhood was quiet and we loved being able to walk a few blocks down the street for coffee in the morning. Location is close to everything Omaha has to offer.Would love to stay again during our next visit!
Lovely home close to all the activities and attractions in Omaha. Plenty of space for our family of five.
Natalie greeted us at her home when we got to town. She gave us a mini-tour of the house and gave us the lay of the land. She was a great host and suggested some local places near her house to visit.
The house was as described and was very homey and allowed the three of us that stayed to have more room than a hotel would have allowed and lots more comfort.
Thanks again for the great stay.
Natalie's lovely home was a great home away from home for our 2 day visit to the amazing Omaha Zoo - with 3 children and a little baby. She bravely welcomed us, and was quite gracious about the little ones. House was clean and comfy and in a fun and friendly neighborhood that we enjoyed taking a few evening walks in. The fenced in backyard with grill was a real plus for our family. Wish we could have visited some of the enticing and interesting vintage stores on Maple, just a few blocks walk away - but the zoo and the children were our focus this time around. Maybe next time . . .
One of the great things about Natalie's home was all the helpful notes - how to work the TV, coffee maker, etc. Might seem basic, but every home and set-up is different, so my friends and I really appreciated this. If anything, I feel like her description undersold the house. I was in the area for a comedy festival with a few friends, and the house was surprisingly spacious and private for us. It was also walkable to the very cute Benson neighborhood. The whole residential area is gorgeous, and I took several walks in the area to check out other houses. Natalie is a really efficient host and had thought of everything we might need. There were plenty of towels, toilet paper, etc., and when I did have questions, Natalie was very responsive to my texts. I really appreciated her hospitality!
We weren't there enough to really enjoy how personal and comfortable Natalie's place was. Plenty of space, cute kitchen, and the plush feel made us feel at home.
