Check In
  • This was a wonderful overnight trip! My boyfriend and I came down for my first half marathon run in Galveston. The ease of check-in was great and Cheryl was prompt to answer my questions prior to arrival. The place was immediately comfortable, inviting and had such a special charm. The hot tub was perfect and perfect for us to use both pre and post run. We really did not want to leave! Thank you Cheryl for amazing accommodations. We will definitely plan to be back and share this place with friends!

  • My husband and I had a wonderful night's stay at The Mellow Yellow Beach House. We arrived later than expected, but we still got a little time to enjoy our stay. I love how Cheryl has decorated the place--especially with all the cat decor! The bed was very comfortable, and we felt right at home. I recommend this quaint little house for anyone wanting to visit the island--it is located very close to an assortment of restaurants and Pleasure Pier. We can't wait to come back!

  • The house was very clean and cute. Cheryl was quick to respond to our text messages and answered all of our questions about where to eat, etc.

  • Cheryl's Yellow Beach House was the perfect Galveston get-away. The house was roomy, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. I had everything I needed to enjoy my vacation in comfort: a huge kitchen and living room (open design), a quiet bedroom, two porches, and a small yard for my dog. The stand-out features were the porches, especially the roomy back porch with an awesome, relaxing hot tub! The beach was just about two blocks away. The house is closest to the quieter South Beach, away from all the hubbub of the main part of town, which is just what I was looking for. Thank you Cheryl! I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Galveston.

Thanks Justine! I am happy to host you again, anytime.

  • An overall splendid experience! Wonderful location (a easy stroll to the seawall and close to the Strand). We came for Mardi-Gras weekend and got to enjoy the parade without all the crowds. The hot tub was absolutely perfect after a day on the beach. The kitchen and bathroom had all the necessities (utensils, plates, mugs, paper towels, a Brita (!); shampoo, conditioner, soap, towels), and the bedroom was cozy with a very comfy bed. Nice spacious living room, with a nice faux fireplace to sit by and drink a cup of hot tea before bed. Parking right in front was nice and hassle-free. Well worth the price, would love to come back! Thank you :)

  • Took a surprise day trip down to Galveston to surprise my wife with Mardi Gras. We had a blast. Cheryl was able to accommodate my request the night prior - on Mardi Gras weekend. Awesome service. Home was very clean and had everything we needed inside. We were able to walk to the Seawall and The Strand from her location, which was awesome. Home also has a hot tub, which we didn't get a chance to dip in, but are planning to make a return trip to make sure we enjoy. We'll def be back!

Thank you! Please come again anytime! ~cheryl

  • Cheryl's place was a lovely home to stay in during our stay in Galveston. Both the bed and the pull out sofa were extremely
Comfortable. As she noted she vacuumed before I arrived due to my allergies and I was not at all allergic while there which was wonderful. The hot tub was lovely although highly chlorinated, something easily remedied and the only issue we had our entire trip. Would certainly stay there again. Cheryl made checkin painless despite our late arrival.

Be sure to check out Leo's Cajun corner if you are there. A short drive from the house and well worth it.

I moved to Galveston from the Cincinnati area in August 2009 and love living the Island life! I also play music locally when I get the chance and love the night life here on the Island and in the South Houston area. I live here with my two rescue babies, a female shepherd mix named Marki and my kitty-boy Benson. ~Living and Loving it on Galveston Island Cheryl Bobbitt
