Social Distance in style! Whole cottage near Gordon Square, Detroit Shoreway, Ohio City, and Downtown.
Literally near the best eateries in the city, many with take out. Our small slice of Cleveland is also known as Ecovillage (an intentional community with a focus on green living). The cottage is nestled in the midst of a community gardens.
Live in your own comfortable space with no other people during your stay.
The space
Comfortable, Inspirational, Colorful, a little Playful:
We remodeled a 100 year old small house with a focus on handmade, repurposed and green fittings and decor. We've worked with a local tile artist and painter to give you a cozy, artistic and unique retreat. The courtyard is sweet and private.
We think you will love our special touches like complimentary local coffee, tea, and goodies.
We are also a great place to locate for theatre, all sorts of sports, basketball, football, hockey, baseball, Cleveland International Film Festival CIFF, etc.
Guest access
Guests have the whole house, but we would request that you only access the basement for emergencies, like the lights going out etc.
Other things to note
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update:
We have always been meticulous cleaners and have now begun more intense cleaning in between guests. The house has always been rented as a whole house, no other guests in the building when you are booked so this excellent for social distancing.
Those who stay with us will also receive free latex gloves, and assorted personal sanitation products for your protection.
In other news:
Peet knows a lot about the city. He's written a chapter in a local travel book and he coordinates city wide tours in spring and fall in which we spend 12 hours walking across the city and visiting sites and businesses that are off the beaten path.

Our part of the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood is known as Ecovillage - an intentional community with a focus on green living. We have a rapid transit station, green condominiums with solar power panels on the garage rooftops, tiny houses and a few green houses. Look for the Ecovillage stamps on our sidewalks. The other part of the Detroit Shoreway is Gordon Square is a well known destination for theatre and food!
We are in an urban environment, and we do have a home next door that should be torn down sometime this year. We live across the alley, so it is safe, it just looks like a house you'd see on a Scooby Doo cartoon.

I am a traveler who landed in Cleveland after living many other places. I have grown to love the city and have even helped write a book about its neighborhoods. My intention on the Ithaca Court Occasional House is to create the hidden gem. Hopefully you will feel the same way after staying there.
