About This Listing
I enjoy meeting people from all over. I use Airbnb when I travel. I'm often traveling and you may have the house to yourself!
I have a charming Tudor style house located next to a prominent college in a lovely area of town. There are markets (Wegman's), restaurants, Starbucks and a movie theater with a 1-2 radius.
I am located about 50 minutes from Philadelphia, and less than 2 hours from NYC. There is public transportation to both of these cities. There are 5+ colleges located in the area, including Muhlenberg, Lehigh, Lafayette and Moravian.
You will have access to the kitchen. There is a full bath located near the bedroom. There is free internet and cable.
My design studio is not in my home. My dogs come to work with me.
There is some public transportation nearby. There are great parks within walking distance. There is a car rental company (Enterprise) nearby that will pick you up if you want to rent a car.
This rental is for one bedroom with a queen size bed. Arrangements can be made for a second bedroom, which also has a queen size bed.
I noticed I had a single complaint about the bed and boxspring on the floor. All other guests found it extremely comfortable! It's as shown in the picture. And I have a few bathrooms. If you object to sharing I'll use the one downstairs. I've had great reviews except for a recent one which surprised me.
Kitchen and bathroom.
Interaction with Guests
I'm usually in and out. My guests come and go as they please.
Charming, safe. Beautiful streets and lovely homes. Great parks. Muhlenberg college campus is lovely and one block away.
You can walk to parks, markets, indie film theater, a few restaurants. A car is necessary although there are city buses running nearby. There's an Enterprise car rental place that will pick you up, and prices are very good!
Other Things to Note
Great parks nearby. Good jogging paths. Lots of new restaurants coming to the area. Bethlehem and Easton are fun to explore, too.
No smoking. No pets. Safe street parking in lovely neighborhood.
Marla's home is located in a super neighborhood and is just as shown - adorable and comfortable. You are greeted by her sweet puppies and have a good sized, air conditioned bedroom with ceiling fan. Marla is in and out - we finally met the very last night and shared a nice conversation.
My experience at Maria's couldn't have been better. I was in town to work as a youth baseball umpire over a three day travel tournament. Her home is lovely, on a quiet street. The room was clean and comfortable, and the wifi excellent. I have no complaints whatsoever, and will definitely return without any hesitation.
I was coming to Allentown for a USA Hockey Coaches Clinic. I had heard Allentown didnt have a safe city center and did not want to stay there although that is where the clinic was. Marla's home was the perfect choice. Her price was more than reasonable and located in the really nice and safe part of town. The bed was comfortable and all the amentites were great. Although I did not get a chance to meet Marla during my stay (only there for one night) she provided more than enough communication via text to make everything go smoothly. She also has the very friendly dogs that enjoy being sidekicks.
