I enjoy meeting people from all over the world. I frequently use Airbnb when I travel. I'm often traveling and you may have the house to yourself!
I live in a lovely tree lined neighborhood. There are several beautiful parks nearby.

I'd like to mention that there have been issues with the Airbnb site: booking and leaving reviews. A recent guest, wanted to leave a great review to no avail. It's important to me that guests have a good experience.

The space

I have a charming Tudor style house located next to a prominent college in a lovely area of town. There are markets (Wegman's), restaurants, Starbucks and a movie theater with a 1-2 mile radius.
I am located about 50 minutes from Philadelphia, and less than 2 hours from NYC. There is public transportation to both of these cities. There are 5+ colleges located in the area, including Muhlenberg, Lehigh, Lafayette and Moravian.
You will have access to the refrigerator. There is a full bath located near the bedroom, which I also use. If you do not want to share the bathroom, arrangements can be made for use of a private bathroom in the basement. FYI- I am pretty neat! There is wireless internet.
My design studio is not in my home. My dogs come to work with me.
There is some public transportation nearby. There are great parks within walking distance. There is a car rental company (Enterprise) nearby that will pick you up if you want to rent a car.
This rental is for one bedroom with a queen size bed.

Interaction with guests

I'm usually in and out. My guests come and go as they please. I don't mind late arrivals.

Other things to note

Great parks nearby. Good jogging paths. Lots of new restaurants coming to the area. Bethlehem and Easton are fun to explore, too.
Philadelphia, the Poconos, and NYC within 1-2 hours drive.

Marla was very welcoming and helpful. Communication was great. Location and home are beautiful, safe and inviting. The room was great and the bed was so comfortable, I slept so so well! Will definitely stay again! Really felt at home.

Marla's house is a beautiful tudor in a quiet neighborhood. The bedroom and bed were very comfortable and bathroom spotless. The location couldn't be more convenient for visiting Muhlenberg College. Although Marla couldn't greet us in person, she called and sent detailed emails.

I was in town for an annual car show that I attend. Marla's eclectic home is in an ideal location. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe. The bed was super comfortable. Marla was out of town, so I didn't have a chance to meet her. But I would definitely stay at her place again.

The beautiful house is in a nice neighborhood and quite central to shops and restaurants. The bathroom and the room itself where spacious and clean. The check-in was as easy as could be and Marla was very friendly.

Funky/cool decor in a charming house. Bedroom was comfortable large enough for two.

Response from Marla:
When guests ask me how far it is to a specific location, they need to know I can't provide my exact address to them until after they book with me, so they should use Muhlenberg College as a nearby landmark. I cant always provide exact distances to various sites in the area.

Although we didn't meet Marla herself as she was away for the weekend, her housemate was there and was very warm and gracious. It's a beautiful home on a quiet, scenic street in Allentown. It's also got the advantage of being close to several highways, an amusement park, and other amenities. We found the location was really central to everywhere we had to be over the weekend, and even got a quick breakfast less than two minutes away Saturday morning. The bed was very cozy and the room and bathroom were neat and clean. The open wifi was a good thing to have to! I definitely recommend a stay at Marla's to anyone traveling this way.
