The Space

I have a charming Tudor style house located next to a prominent college in a lovely area of town. There are markets (Wegman's), restaurants, Starbucks and a movie theater with a 1-2 radius.
I am located about 50 minutes from Philadelphia, and less than 2 hours from NYC. There is public transportation to both of these cities. There are 5+ colleges located in the area, including Muhlenberg, Lehigh, Lafayette and Moravian.
You will have access to the kitchen. There is a full bath located near the bedroom. There is free internet and cable.
My design studio is not in my home. My dogs come to work with me.
There is some public transportation nearby. There are great parks within walking distance. There is a car rental company (Enterprise) nearby that will pick you up if you want to rent a car.
This rental is for one bedroom with a queen size bed. Arrangements can be made for a second bedroom, which also has a queen size bed.

  • Marla is amazing, Marla's home is amazing, the room that she has on airbnb was great and would be good for a short or long term stay, Marla's neighborhood is stunningly beautiful. We arrived late and left early, and Marla was more than accommodating and was very easy to email/text with. We really can't say enough positive things about our experience here.

  • Marla was a friendly, flexible, and welcoming host. Her house is as close to Muhlenberg College as you can get and was ultra-convenient for my visit to see my daughter at college. The room was clean, comfortable, with lots of natural light and two (!) empty dressers to unpack clothes. I felt comfortable coming and going as I pleased (early and late) and felt like I was staying at the home of a friend. I would highly recommend staying here if you have reason to visit Muhlenberg or Allentown. Lovely neighborhood for walking. Arrangements for getting the key were easy. The whole experience was great.

  • Exactly as advertised. Comfortable room. Lots of snow and ice to deal with, but that is all of Pa at the moment.

  • We stayed one night at Marla's and it was great. Very lovely house and Marla was a great host, I really enjoyed our conversations, which for me is what Airbnb is all about. She made a great breakfast recommendation, Syb's deli which my wife and I very much enjoyed.
We also walked around Marla's neighborhood and really enjoyed seeing all the beautiful 1930's style homes. Marla is a great host, very personable, and I would stay again.
