Interaction with Guests
I enjoy meeting guests and want especially that they feel relaxed and at ease in my home. I enjoy good conversation with people but also have an appreciation and respect for privacy and the need for guests to have their own space. I welcome a similar outlook from those who stay with me.
Honest, polite, respectfull, clean, a good communicator is all you need to be.
Smoking is permitted in the courtyard garden only.
Joanne is the best host I've ever met. She is very kind, always ready to help you. The house is very pretty. Rooms, bath room, dining room everything!
I had the most lovely stay with Joanne. The accommodations were great, the hospitality was wonderful. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend the place to someone I know. Good luck to location and a great host!
One of the many things I like about Air B n Bil is staying in places with character, this place has lots of that and so central too! If have time to spend with your lovely host, it will be time well spent! Joanne is lovely : )
Joanne responded to my email enquiries quickly and warmly and welcomed me to her lovely home calmly and with a minimum of fuss. The rooms were clean and tidy as in the photos and although it's not far from a busy road it was lovely and quiet. I had a fairly early start in the morning and Joanne was up to make me breakfast with her homemade bread and fresh coffee.
Joanne was extremely welcoming and I felt at home right away. The room was just right and in the perfect location for my needs. A minor point, but I would have been a bit more comfortable if there had been a lock on the bathroom door!!
The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. Breakfast was delicious as Joanne had gone to the trouble of making home made bread and, as one of the guests was gluten intolerant, she made special bread for her. A very kind gesture. Thank you Joanne.
Joanne was a very attentive host. She provided a basic home made breakfast and also provided an evening meal on one of the days of my visit. The room was clean and tidy and very quite and the location was ideal as it was only a 10 minute walk into the city centre.
Another great stay at Joanne's. A perfect host and she was very kind to make the morning coffee just how I like it.

About the Host, Joanne
My name is Joanne. I am from New Zealand and have been living in the UK for over twenty years, living in London before settling here in Bristol.
Since 2009 i have worked closely with an established Bristol language school and am valued by them for my contribution to hosting.
I have joined Airbnb after creating a second room to rent in my home and look forward to expanding my hosting experience by offering accommodation to travellers / visitors, university students, those looking to relocate and or work in Bristol as well as foreign language students.
I love cooking, making bread and baking cakes. I also enjoy my garden, sewing , patchwork and quilting when I can make the time. Travelling to other countries, Europe, France and Italy in particular are always on the agenda. When travelling not possible I enjoy hosting people from different countries or parts of England, the cultural exchange Is always inspiring and enriching.
My main concern as a host for my guests is that they find my home welcoming, relaxing and comfortable to be in. Respect, consideration, open communication, laughter go a long way, home made cake and tea too I will say no more except thank you for taking the time to read this.
