-No outlet, HOA-controlled retirement neighborhood.
- The neighborhood sits behind a wall separated from the main street and has sidewalks for peaceful evening walks.
-Quaint, peaceful park with benches and tennis court just a 1-minute walk from the house. For residents and guests only.
-Police patrolled. One of the safest and most inconspicuous neighborhoods in this area of Dallas.
-This neighborhood offers the feel of a suburb but with the conveniences of the city of Dallas. The location is very convenient to both downtown (less than 15 minutes drive down the tollway) and the northern part of the city (Plano) which offers a great deal as well. Addison regional airport is just 1 mile from the house. Addison has a good deal of businesses and the neighborhood is very close to a street with several eating and shopping choices. There is a new Whole Foods store just 5 minutes from the house.
Dallas North Tollway that runs North and South through the city is less than 5 minutes from the house, down an easy-to-navigate street.
Guests get 1 parking space in the clean, spacious garage, with a remote opener provided, that is attached to the house for easy coming and going into and out of the house. It's easy to walk to certain parts of one of the busiest streets in this area for a simple meal, grocery, Target, etc. A public bus stop is nearby.
To get from the airport to my house takes about 20-25 minutes via car. Taxis are available or I can suggest my driver for you for the same price as a taxi.

I stayed at Zach's place for four nights/five days while I was in Dallas for a training. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and extremely clean. The king suite bedroom and bathroom are very private. Everything a hotel offers but better (more private, more quiet, cleaner, more personal, more comfortable)!
The house and "guest suite" were just perfect for my lodging needs--but Zach was beyond expectation. A great help in so many ways. He's a nice, unassuming, respectful, generous person.
I did not have a car while I was there, and Zach was kind enough to offer me a couple of rides. He also gave me great walking directions and recommendations for places to eat, shop, and meet with friends near his place.
My flight to Dallas was delayed by seven hours(!) and Zach was very kind and flexible about changing my check in. He allowed me to use his printer for a last-minute form I need for my training, offered me a guest pass to his gym, made coffee in the mornings, provides wi-fi for guests, and shares a personal recommendation for a very nice driver.
And, as others mentioned in comments, if you're lucky, he'll be working on a new recipe and let you try what he whipped up. (I got to 'taste test' some gingerbread, a cocktail, and some roasted chicken with potatoes and vegetables while I was there. Yum!)
I would recommend staying with Zach in his private king space to anyone and without hesitation. If I'm lucky enough to visit Dallas again, I will start my travel plans by checking Zach's calendar for availability!
Colleen, thank you for such a nice review, I appreciate it and am very glad you enjoyed it and that I helped make your trip to Dallas comfortable. You were a great guest, too, and I learned a lot about Crossfit, so that was a bonus! Thank you for the great thank you gift you left me and the very nice note. You were a joy to host and I hope to get to see you again in the near future in Dallas! Zach
My boyfriend and I were in town to introduce him to relatives and friends of mine. I'm a native Dallasite and I wanted, for Bryant's sake, an experience that would be much more memorable than staying at an extended stay hotel. Yet I wanted more freedom than staying at a friend's or relative's may entail, so I combed through availabilities and found Zach.
Well, we LOVED staying with Zach and could not be happier about our decision! Beautiful, impeccable home, almost-too-comfortable king sized bed, the convenience of coming and going as we pleased, including the use of his garage for our rental car. The location was superb since it was a nice halfway point from uptown and where my friends live in North Dallas as well, and was a quick drive away from Whole Foods and a ton of other restaurants (since there's never a shortage of those in this city!). The home is in a very quiet neighborhood as well.
Zach, of course, was a perfect host. We like to think of him as a new friend. He was so easy to talk to--especially about food and travel and CHOCOLATE--and great to chill out with just watching TV as well. More than anything, I took note of all the thoughtfulness behind his hosting--hangers and rack for shoes in the closet, iron and ironing board, tissue boxes for both bedside stands, TWO hair dryers... Little things like that. He provided us with a heater for our bedroom since temperatures dropped during our stay, room in his fridge, express pot for heating water for tea. It just goes on.
Seriously, it was wonderful--he went above and beyond. It doesn't hurt that he's a chocolatier and baker either!!!... I'll be forever craving his scones. Should you want it, he also gives great recommendations on where to go and eat. Even for a Dallasite, that list is invaluable.
Until my father purchases his next home, we will definitely stay with Zach for our visits to Dallas!!
You couldn't ask for a more accommodating host than Zach. He answered email questions promptly and contacted me the day before we arrived to coordinate meeting him at his place. His home is beautifully appointed, every bit as nice as a high end hotel. Zach is a personable and interesting man. We enjoyed getting to know him.
Zach is a great host with an immaculate home. We couldn't have been more comfortable. We appreciated the free guest passes to his fitness club and the cherry scones he baked for us. Highly recommended.
Great experience. I've been moving to Dallas and needed a place to stay in my transition. If you want to stay in a really nice house, and not pay a fortune, this is the spot. Zach, the host, is a great guy. Very attentive and friendly. This was such a great place, I extended my stay twice. I definitely recommend you stay here.
