The comfy room is 12x9 feets large and have a window that gets the morning light. There’s a double bed in it and a small wardrobe. Fresh linens will be provided. And, also, there’s an wireless internet connection. I live alone in the appartment with my cat so, you can expect a really calm and relax ambiance.
The apartement is at the third floor of an old building. There's no elevator to get there and access is via an outdoor staircase. As you can see in the pictures, it’s decorated on an eclectic style in a mix of vintage and hand made with some modern pieces. The bathroom is small but cute. The kitchen is large and gets the morning light. There's not problem cooking in it. There's not really a living room(it's really small!). Just across the street, there’s a parc where you can hang out during summer. The metro is really close (5 minutes walk, in the same street than the appartment) and, from there, you can access most of Montreal’s attractions. On Laurier Street, there’s a grocerie store, a drugstore, coffee shops, restaurants, ice cream shops, boutiques, etc… On Mont-Royal Street, there’s some other shops, coffee shops, etc… Also, the apartment is close to mile-ends neighborhood, where there’s some nice local shops (montreal's bagel, vintage clothe boutique, etc...). It’s an ideal place to stay.
I'm a night owl but i'm a calm down person and i don't make much noise.
Please, feel free to contact me. I’m looking forward to hear from you!
Guest will have acces to the kitchen. Unfortunatly, there is no living room.
Interaction with Guests
I'll gladly answer your questions and direct you, if needed.
The best way to get to the appartment is by metro.
From the airport, take the 747 bus direction downtown. Get out at the last stop (gare centrale de Montreal). From there, take the metro on the orange line (direction Montmorency) and get out at Laurier Station. Use Laurier Street exit. Walk for 5 minutes following the trafic. When you see the park, you're almost there!
Those are the general rules.
-Smokers have to smoke outside
-Wash dishes after use
-We need to be quiet pass 23h, for the neigbours. But, you can come back at the place anytime you want.
- No visitor.
- Please, take off your shoes ;)
I had a great stay at Hélène's apartment. She was a very welcoming host and gave me some helpful advice on how I should spend my weekend in Montreal. Her cat was very sweet as well. The apartment was very comfortable and conveniently located in a great neighborhood with easy access to the metro. There was also a bixi bike station just a couple blocks away that I took advantage of. I would definitely stay here again if I come back!
it was a nice place to stay during my travel in Montreal. Area was very nice and well located. The room was as in the description.
I spent my journey at real Montreal house~It was great time. The house is located in the heart of Montreal, and has very nice neighbours as well as awesome interior design. If I go there again I will take the place again.
This is a great neighborhood - near lots of coffee shops and bagel places, with easy train and bus transportation to Mont Royal, the city center, and anywhere else you want to go.
Helene was a great host, too. Her apartment is nice and cosy, but plenty large to not feel crowded even with two guests. We really enjoyed our stay!
Hélène's apartment is exactly as described--warm, cozy and welcoming, and in a great location. Parking nearby was easy to find. Hélène was excellent at communicating clearly. Though we didn't get to meet because of our different schedules, she was a fantastic host and everything was wonderful.
Hélène was a great host. I loved staying at her cute apartment with her cute cat in her cute neighborhood. Hélène herself was very nice and accommodating, and I'd definitely stay with her again if I come back to Montreal.
Me and my partner stayed at Hélène's for 10 days. Hélène was a great host, very helpful, friendly, accommodating, full of tips, respectful of her guests' space and never intrusive. Me and my partner were not there for vacation, we had to work and we used Hélène's kitchen's desk for that all the time, still she was very hospitable and available, and let us "occupy" her kitchen all the time we needed. We spent a lot of time actually in the house, but that didn't bother Hélène at all. Hélène's house is a cute cozy apartment in an amazing neighborhood, close to Montreal's Mile End and Little Italy. We really felt like we were in the best neighborhood we could be in, full of facilities, supermarkets, bars and cafés, nightlife events, schools, families and life, and close to everything thanks to Montreal's subway. We spent so much time walking around the neighborhood, and we were discovering new amazing places everyday. The only little problem we had there was that the house bedroom is probably too small and a little uncomfortable for two people, but it's perfect for one person. Overall, a great host and a great experience!
I come from Lac St-Jean and I moved to montreal 4 years ago. I studied in art (cinema/video) and I make animation movies. I'm back to school (in the evening), after several years off, in a video editing and motion design program while i am slowly quiting my job as a graphic designer to focus on that. I like to draw, photography, animation movies, sci-fi novel, nature, etc… I traveled across Canada (maritime and west British-Colombia) on my own and I did a road-trip around Gapésie. I'm a curious person.
