The depth of the water provides a great place to dive into the lake and is sure to be a hit with the swimmers in your group. There is great fishing right off the end of the dock. Bass Lake has a maximum depth of 100 feet and is a great inland lake for swimmers. Bass Lake is also a popular lake for water sports such as wakeboarding, waterskiing and tubing. A boat launch is located at the Bass Lake Trailer Park.

Greg was very responsive and helpful in planning the trip. The space was clean and comfortable and the lakefront location was great. I would definitely consider staying at Greg's Lakefront Cottage again.
We had such a wonderful, relaxing few days at Greg's cottage. Even though it was a bit chilly (make sure to bring ample firewood if you head up there in October), the fireplace warmed the space quickly and the amenities were modern and clean. Mornings were perfect here - light streaming through the front windows and a gorgeous view of the lake.
One thing to note - the front door is a bit tough to lock. We had to jiggle it a bit but it isn't broken, just finicky. We also had some issues paying through the airbnb site and Greg was very understanding while we figured it out.
Thanks ,Greg, for a wonderful stay!
The place was exactly as described. We loved the location - it felt so private and quiet! We came on a very cold weekend so the first thing we did was we picked up some wood from the local farmer and made a fire. The cottage warmed up very quickly and it was easy to maintain a cosy temperature. There are several board games available in the cottage which is great when the weather keeps you inside. We took advantage of the canoe provided and did some fishing (one fishing rod available too) and canoeing around the lake. Luckily, we brought enough potable water with us which we used for drinking as well as washing dishes. A neighbour recommended us to walk a few kilometres of the Bruce trail which was accessible only a few kilometres from the cottage. It was a great walk and we got to see a porcupine! Certainly recommended to everyone who is looking for an enjoyable time on the water - the lake is right down the stairs from your door.
The place was amazing. Greg was very quick respond to any questions we had. The only difficulty we had was finding the firewood off the street before getting to the cottage. Totally would come back again.
A beautiful cottage on a gorgeous lake. We had such an excellent time here.
When my girlfriend and I first arrived, we couldn't find the cabin. We found the lot just fine, but couldn't see the cabin anywhere, then we peered over the cliff beyond the laneway and there it was, tucked away at the base of the cliff. We were delighted with how private the lot was and the cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
A great place to get away for a while. Whether sitting on the dock in the moonlight, enjoying a bonfire outside, or snuggling up next to the wood stove inside, this is the place to relax.
I recently stayed at Greg's cottage early this October with my girlfriend . Upon arrival we noticed how even though there are neighbors, the cottage is very private and peaceful. It is perfectly nestled on the land. The cottage has a very nice deck that wraps around the front, creating a nice area for bbq's and hanging out. The cottage is a bit smaller than how it looks in the pictures, but can easily accommodate a small group. The kitchen is newly renovated and modern which was nice. The only draw back I would say is that the bedrooms are not very inviting, me and my girlfriend decided to sleep on the pull out day bed in the living room instead of the bedrooms. I would also advise to bring LOTS of firewood, I think the only source of heat is the wood burning stove in the living room. this may not be an issue during the summer but we had a lot of wind, rain, and cold temperatures. Luckily we brought a bushel of wood from home. Although we didn't have great weather, Greg has set up a very nice projector and DVD player in the living room. With some DVD's by the fire, made for a few nice relaxing nights. I am a big fishing enthusiast, so It was nice to see how close we were to the lake, not to mention the very nice large dock Greg has. The provided canoe was very convenient, especially for fishing. Even though we had bad weather, I was still able to get out on the lake and was able to catch a nice 4lb. bass. I would maybe suggest investing in a cheap motor boat just as an added feature. Overall we had very nice stay at Greg's cottage and didn't want to leave! It was a great destination for a relaxing getaway with amazing scenery. Even though we didn't have the best weather we still enjoyed ourselves and I will definitely look into going up again next year, this time during the summer!
We had an amazing time at the cottage. It is well equipped and the listing description is accurate.
