Pets might possibly be allowed BUT you must contact me for pre-approval!
This is a very spacious basement apartment with lots of amenities! Tami kept us up to date and made us feel very welcome! She even suggested a nearby park where we could walk after a very long day of sitting in a car. My only suggestion is to bring a jacket of sweater. The AC is VERY COLD and there was no way to regulate it from the basement!
We loved having you & your wife! So sorry I was not around more and also was babysitting during your stay. We would have enjoyed hearing all about your adventures driving from Alaska to here and beyond! We leave the AC on 72 in the summer but it's colder (69-70) degrees in the space that I rent out. This is clearly stated this on the listing description but you and another guest both missed or didn't read it. In addition to extra blankets that I provide, I will leave robes and long sleeve jackets from now on for cold natured people who may not have been prepared for 69-70 degrees!
Great location close to KY Dam Village. Tami was very helpful and provided everything that I could need. I hope this location is available next year when I will be in the area again.
Yhe neighborhood was beautiful. The hostess was great. The place was very clean and nice.
There was a grocery store and bakery near by. We enjoyed our trip to Kentucky.
I left extra towels for the 5 of you which you didn't use! Therefore it was your choice to use damp towels! I also assembled another bed for the 5th person you added to the reservation last minute. I even purchased an extra blanket so all of you would be warm enough and offered an electric blanket too. FYI, You were in Benton! Draffenville doesnt have a post office so the entire area has a Benton address. The bakery here I purchased a coffee cake for you was across from and could be seen from the McDonalds drive-thru were you stopped for breakfast. We decided 5 adults is too many for our space after hosting your group. I will try to get a map for my next guests, thanks for the suggestion.
Tami was a wonderful host! She got me and my significant other donuts and orange juice as well as make sure that we had everything we need. She also left us coffee and hot chocolate and let me borrow a hair dryer. Her basement apartment is adorable and very nice. She was a great host and recommended us a great local place to eat at in the morning. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely try to stay here again!
Excellent host! She left us snacks, breakfast items, coffe, and fruit - catered to any needs! Private setting with everything you need ! Will be back definitely when we are in the area!
Tami is an excellent host. She is friendly, accommodating, and very caring. Before we arrived, Tami asked what beverages and simple snacks we might like. We brought our own food, but it is always welcomed to have our host offer us something. Much to our delight, Tami brought us homemade donuts from a local bakery our first morning there. They were the best donuts we have ever had! We had a wonderful visit and our private apartment was the perfect space for a weekend visit to the Land between the Lakes. Our space was clean, roomy and private. Yet, we could socialize with Tami and her husband Bob whenever we wanted. They are outgoing people and offered warm hospitality. We will stay with Tami again. We look forward to another visit.
Tami is a warm and inviting host. Even before we arrived, Tami contacted us to make sure we would have everything we needed for a wonderful weekend near the lakes. The space was perfect: private apartment with a kitchen and two bedrooms yet friendly hosts who always greeted us with a smile. The first morning there Tami surprised us with donuts made at a local bakery. I have not had a donut in years, but if I lived here I would eat more -- they were the best donuts I had ever tasted! We enjoyed our stay in this pastoral setting. Peaceful. Quiet. Friendly. We will stay here again.
Thanks for the tips to leave a hair dryer in the bathroom, it slipped my mind. And of course I should have left the wifi info on the refrigerator instead of on that brochure where most would have never noticed! I appreciate your honesty and wish I'd had more time to spend with you because now I'm ready to see tall the interesting places you've seen in your travels. I am dead serious about y'all staying here for free, anytime!
