We had a wonderful time staying at Anni 50. Marco graciously fit us in last second and was a great host (we never got to meet his wife because she was out of town).
The apartment is lovely, decorated fabulously mid-century modern. Everything was super clean and breakfast was wonderful. The apartment is located in a nice, very safe neighborhood a little off the well worn tourist path. You are probably at least 20-30 minutes from most of the sights (or more depending on where you're going of course) if you are taking public transport. There are nice restaurants and a rather famous icecream place just a block or so from the building. Also, there's a catacombs just down the street you can visit.
Marco was super helpful with anything we needed and was a pleasure to meet. We had a great time and would highly recommend staying at Anni 50.
Marco and Nora were excellent hosts. They took me in at short notice (4hrs) and provided me with plenty of helpful information. Their collection of fliers and brochures is almost as big as the one you find in the tourist office.
The communication was great though both only speak intermediate English. Nora is fluent in Spanish though. The rooms Marco and Nora provide are spectacular. They are decorated with style (apparently the style of the 50's) and they are probably the cleanest rooms I have ever seen.
Both truly appreciate their apartment and that is the way how they keep it. Every room has a TV and WiFi internet access. The apartment is just a few meters from one of Rome's biggest city parks (if not the biggest) - Villa Ada.
There are small boutiques, shops and restaurants around the corner as well as the King cinema. The connection to the city center is great. Multiple buses run till 12.30am in the night. It is about 20-30min to the city center. To Vatican City it is about 40 min. To help you get going for the day, they usually served traditionally excellent tasting Italian espresso, muffins, croissant, toast with jam, eggs and a joghurt for breakfast.
We would recommend a stay at Anni's 50 Bed&Breakfast in a heart beat. I would stay there any time again and wish both of them all the best.
