  • Our family of four had a very pleasant stay for seven days at Gianluca's apartment.

It is quite spacious, artistically decorated and reasonably fitted out. Everything was pretty much as described. Gianluca was very responsive to all our communications and happily introduced us to the apartment in arrival.

Our teenage sons appreciated the wifi. The apartment is on the fourth floor but after a full day of touring Rome we did use the small lift a few times!

The area is very nice, particularly if you want to appreciate local life. It is a 15 minute walk and then a short tram ride to Trastavere for heaps of restaurants but be aware that this involves a step walk back up the hill on the way back. There are also a number of decent places to eat within a couple of minutes of the flat. Supermarket is about 5 minutes walk away too.

After experimenting with the buses a few times we settled on the main way to get into Rome using the train about 5 minutes walk away and then the metro.

I would thoroughly recommend this as a great place to stay when in Rome. Thanks Gianluca.

  • Gianluca was communicative and met us directly on our arrival. The apartment was light, spacious and well furnished and provided a great base for our group of 4. Don't miss the restaurant across the street: Tutto Qua.

  • Anna's house was perfect for our short four day stay in rome we only wished we could have stayed longer, the apartment was gorgeous, eclectic, traditional, modern and vintage, and so comfortable for me and my family, husband two year old son and baby daughter. The location was excellent Monte Verde is lovely and green, with nice restaurants and shops around, and close enough to the centre of rome to go on foot or by bus. GianLuca and his wife
Roberta were wonderful hosts checking up on us and offering what they could to make us comfortable. Thank you casa Anna for and wonderful stay and experience in Rome! Hopefully we will see you again soon!!

Tips

  • Anna's house is so spacious and comfortable. I love the fact that there are so many beds and big couches. This place can easily sleep 6-7 people. The four of us stayed comfortably for 2 nights. The neighborhood is safe and very close to the bus, metro and taxi station. The host is very friendly, he showed us the house, the neighborhood and bought a map. The cleaning lady was also very accomodating to our early check in. Just heads up for US travelers, you would need to buy an AC adopter to charge your electronics.

  • This was a wonderful place to stay in Rome. The apartment is beautifully spacious, light and well decorated. It was very relaxing and included all of the amenities we could have needed.
It's a wonderful walk in to town via the very cool Travastere area and allows you to enjoy some of the sights away from the tourists.
The local area is excellent, with a really great cafe and restaurant right across the road; shops, banks and bars just short walks away.
Loved our stay here and highly recommend it.

  • Our stay at Anna's house was wonderful! We got the feel of really LIVING in Rome, not just visiting as a tourist! Gianluca was a great host and willing to help with everything from directions to the elevator! The unit is great - so spacious and had everything we needed to be comfortable.

The apartment is on a busy Rome street, so with the windows open you can hear traffic from the front bedroom, but I imagine any apartment in the city would experience this.
