The home was more than we expected. A meticulously maintained and very clean home. And it's not often an American sleeps in a home older than our country. It had a wonderfully charming Irish cozy feeling while being close to the town center and a very easy drive into Dublin. Du…

I attended the Dave Pelz Short Game Golf School and wanted to stay near the Killeen golf course, where the school was held. The week was a win-win, since the home was not only very close to the golf, but exceeded our expectations. It is a lovingly restored historic home and is …

Great country location. This was a fantastic place for our family of five. We arrived to a stocked refrigerator and Fiona was very helpful to orient us to the area.

This is a spacious, beautiful and tastefully renovated house. Understandably, historic homes have quirks and special requirements. As a guest, you may need to open windows each day, set the house alarm, keep fires going to get hot water upstairs, and be mindful of which wall swit…

Hi Greg. Thanks for your review. I will update the house rules to include a line on leaving the kitchen switches beside the fridge and cooker ON to ensure that these appliances stay on. In Ireland it is common practice to open windows a little every day to air the room. If you wanted to keep them closed that's fine too. The house alarm is to protect your belongings. Again, it's up to you if you switch it on or not! The water is heated by timer automatically by the oil-fired range and immersion. There is no need to light a fire to heat water or heat the house. This only tops up the hot water. I lit the fire for your group so that you'd be cosy after your travels. Again, it's up to you if you light it and it's not necessary for anything other than cosiness. I will change the description of the washer-dryer to just washing machine so that's a good tip. I don't feel the labelling of switches around the house would add to the appearance of a country cottage. I've only ever seen that in a hospital! Most people pick up pretty quickly which switch works which light. Fiona

The Miller's House is a wonderful place to stay and Fiona could not be a more gracious hostess! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. The only thing that could have made it better would have been more time! As noted above, Fiona could not be kinder or more helpful. If I am able…

Fiona was a fantastic host and the Miller House is the perfect Irish getaway! The nearest town is walkable, although would recommend taking the local taxi for less than 10 euro. 40 mins or less from the city of Dublin as well as from the airport. Close proximity to enjoy the town…
