The space
This 1870s double shotgun is only four blocks (normal city blocks) from the French Quarter and two blocks to Louis Armstrong park. It is located on what was once the largest oak alleyway in the world which was forgone when the freeway was built in the 1960s. The unit is well sealed from noise in the bedroom with very minimal noise, the front room with the pullout you can hear a bit more activity but most can be drowned by the white noise device or a sleep app for light sleepers. There is lots of parking available in the adjacent monitored bridge lot.

Where you’ll be

New Orleans, Louisiana, United States

Treme is the musical birthplace of Jazz, Blues, and Soul. It's an area full of soul food, jazz halls, second line parades, and on a main route making it a breeze to walk or grab an über to anywhere in the city. This neighborhood has seen ups and downs in recent history and has quickly been on the rise as one one of the most up and coming neighborhoods in the city. It's been a balancing act to retain its incredible culture with improving its infrastructure and worn exterior. Most of the neighbors here are musicians or children of musicians and all have incredible stories to share if you have the time to listen. This is a social neighborhood that loves to greet each other, this is a major facets of old New Orleans culture still active today. This is one of the last bits of the real New Orleans left and fun to experience life in the neighborhood that gave us the nickname the Big Easy.

I look at much of life through a lens. Which works well as I am a commercial photographer in New Orleans and a project manager for a creative resource company in town. We moved to New Orleans in 2011 shortly after we got married. We love all aspects of the life in the city and involve ourselves with several organizations.
