Interaction with Guests
I am keen to interact with guests if I am on the island. Other times I have great staff to help meet and greet and look after you while I am not here.
The house is in a quiet area of the island with no roosters, bikes cars or trucks. Very safe with security working 9pm to 6am. The house sits on a walking track above the ocean. Occasionally there are weddings at the 5 star resort next door but the noise is stopped at 11pm.
There is only motor scooters, boats and small trucks to get around the island. No public transport. Walking around the island is done in a few hours.
Other Things to Note
Please let me know what boat you are coming on so I or my staff can meet you and help you to the villa. Best boats to catch are Scoot, Marlin and Rocky fast boat. These boat companies include in your fare hotel pick up in Sth Bali, return boat transfers and hotel drop off on your return to Bali. I can organize all this for you if required.
There is only 1 ATM on the island and a lot of times it is not working. Also visa is only accepted at a few places here. The exchange rate is a lot lower than on the main land.
Please enjoy your stay and please respect local customs on the island.
What a view! Sitting on that deck and watching the world go by was a real highlight. The house is well located to restaurants, getting cleaned daily and the manager is available to help out with any requests. The house is fairly basic but has everything you could need. Unfortunately there was construction two houses away from the villa that did not stop until 10pm at night.... which did detract from the serene island feel.
Villa as described in a great location with magnificent views. Dena was great throughout with communication, her staff were fantastic, even meeting us at the ferry and helping with our luggage. Located close to everything we needed for our family - we loved our stay and look forward to coming back !
The villa is well located and has a great view - we enjoyed using the plunge pool and popping over to the Deck for coffee and breakfast. The villa is simple and spacious. Communication with the host and staff was straightforward, and everyone was kind and helpful.
We loved staying at Villa Aman, which has a beautiful view of the Jungutbatu beachfront, Shipwrecks and Lacerations surfbreaks, and on clear days the volcanoes on the island of Bali. We had booked another of Diane's homes on the island of Nusa Lembongan, and she upgraded us to the unused Villa Aman. We had trouble paying for the accommodation through Airbnb on location, and Diane was very patient and helpful - she's a great hostess - Thanks Diane!
We were on the island to surf and paddleboard, and this location is perfect for both. A short walk to Coconut Beach and a short paddle out to Playgrounds surfbreak was great, and we also hired local boatmen to drop us off and pick us up at Lacerations, which is a bit longer of a paddle. The Villa is also a short walk to the main beach in Jungutbatu, and the beach strip with restaurants etc. The house was clean, and Diane's staff were helpful by cleaning the Villa every day, and hooking us up with a motorbike rental.
The house has a kitchen for cooking, which would be shared with occupants of another room. We stayed in the ocean-front room, which has sliding doors which open up and allow a beautiful breeze and the sound of the ocean at night - very relaxing! The plunge pool and outdoor shower are a nice feature to have, as an alternative to swimming in the ocean. Tap and shower water are saltwater from the well - there's no fresh water on the island, so you'll be drinking bottled water.
Its helpful to rent a motorbike to explore the Town, visit good local restaurants, and the rest of the island. Must visits include Devil's Tear at Dream and Sunset Beachs, and the Warung Bambu (north side of island) for grilled fresh fish and super nice owners! The Eco-Deli will refill your empty water bottles for a small fee so we can do our part to reduce the impact of our waste on the island, and they have great coffee. Other good restaurants include Marie's, Ponduk Baruna, and Ketut's Warung for great local and thai food. Bring cash to the island, as the one bank-machine is out of commission sometimes when the power goes out, and the money-changers charge a steep commission from your credit card. Enjoy the island, its beautiful!
Location. Location. Location. This hillside villa overlooks the beautiful bay, sits next to an upscale resort that operates The Deck (a wonderful, if comparably expensive, place for morning coffee/breakfast and for a drink at sunset), and is a great stepping off point for walks into "town" or to beach coves in the other direction. It is close to spots to rent motorbikes, get a taxi, have a drink or a meal, and deal with the beach arrival and departure of your fast boat. The villa is open and breezy, modestly but sufficiently appointed, and clean. Mini-bar is well stocked and managed. The staff for these villas is most helpful and friendly. A deck with a plunge pool is a plus. Dian has addressed an earlier post about the property's bed linens. Towels should be next. Dian is something of a legend here. I wish we had met her. She was gracious and made our transition from Ubud much easier.
Place is in a great location with an incredible staff that took care of all my needs including renting a scooter and a SUP, which was awesome.
The place leaves a bit to be desired as the sheets and pillows were in terrible shape and I would think at this price for the area would be taken care of, not too thrilled with that.
Note there is also no A/C in the unit but it is wide open and stays relatively cool.
If this was changed or resolved I would stay again.

About the Host, Dena
Hi. I live on Nusa Lembongan island which is a 30 minute boat ride from Sanur ( east coast of Bali). I love living here and the laid back life style, beach and culture of this beautiful island.
