We moved from the East Coast in 2012 and have kept ourselves busy exploring our new city. While Bourbon, all-things Louisville Cardinals, The Kentucky Derby and the St. James Arts Festival are the city's staples, Louisville is also filled with great eats, amazing (email hidden)ly arts scene and some really genuine folks--very comparable to other major cities such as NY, Chi-town, Philly and San Fran without breaking the bank! During your stay, we'll be equipped and eager to share and recommend some of the city's gems!
Our humble adobe, yes we said adobe not abode :) is a huge two-bedroom apartment with hardwood floors and LOTS of natural light. We believe sharing is caring, and seeing as how we will be sharing our toilet and common areas, we also look forward to sharing: conversation, a bowl of cereal, and/or a glass of wine with our guests (no pressure). We reside in an apartment complex in Old Louisville, one of the most eclectic and charming neighborhoods in the city--beautifully historic preserved homes, bike friendly roads, tree-lined streets, all within a diverse community and a short distance away from just about everything:

If you'd like to experience a thriving city with something for virtually everyone, come to Louisville! It's big city living on a small city budget!
Very easy to get to. Plenty of parking within a block. I got a spot right in front of the building. I came in late and left very early and they were very accommodating.
Wonderful atmosphere and a great place to stay. Arlene and Teresa were gracious hosts, extremely friendly, and had great recommendations for food local to the area. We would certainly stay again and recommend them to friends!
Arlene and Teresa were wonderful hosts. I dealt mostly with Teresa, but was able to meet Arlene briefly, who was lovely. Their apartment was clean, well kept and decorated and the room was very comfortable. The building is old, with lots of character. It looked like it was a converted old hotel. Very cool. My boyfriend and I were provided (email hidden) to Louisville with all of their favorite spots to eat, drink, shop and explore. We enjoyed some great conversation with Teresa, who is down to earth, friendly and very helpful. They also have 3 amazing rescue dogs, all of which are so sweet. Prior to leaving in the morning we had a couple cups of fresh coffee and were on our way. Definitely an amazing experience in Old Louisville.
My fiance and I had a wonderful time with Teresa and Arlene. They are both very open and friendly, and their dogs are very fun and sweet as well. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The little extra touches like providing extra toiletries in case we forgot something made it clear that they care about their guests.
Teresa and Arlene also know their neighborhood well and had great recommendations for places to eat and explore. My fiance and I enjoyed walking around Old Louisville and exploring Bardstown Road. We would highly recommend staying with Teresa and Arlene! They're awesome people and go above and beyond to ensure their guests have an excellent stay.
My friend Krysten and I had a wonderful stay! Arlene and Teresa were awesome hosts, super hospitable and kind! The room and apartment were clean, beautiful and comfortable. It was our first time using Air BnB and we were very pleased!
We only spent one night with Arlene and Teresa but very much enjoyed the lovely Old Louisville neighborhood! The room was funky, the bed very comfy, we slept with windows wide open and there was no problem with noise, and they're just a couple of blocks from Central Park where there's Shakespeare in the Park all summer on Saturday night. Definitely check it out and bring wine and a blanket! Thank you so much for your hospitality!
Teresa and Arlene were welcoming and the place was comfortable. Old Louisville was beautiful for an evening stroll and the bus route to downtown got me there in minutes. Great experience - thanks!
Arlene and Teresa were incredibly kind and welcoming hosts. We didn't get to hang out much during my stay, but they were helpful in providing information about the city. I loved their dogs!!! Their home was very neat and clean and I was very happy with the spaces available to me. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend them to anyone looking to see Louisville!
Great access to downtown! Arlene and Theresa were very friendly and welcoming.
We stayed for one night at Arlene and Teresa's place. The bedroom was clean and was exactly as described in the profile. Arlene and Teresa were very friendly and welcoming hosts! I am glad we got to meet and had conversations with each other :) If you visit Louisville, I would recommend you to stay with Arlene and Teresa !!:D
