About this listing

The Space

Our humble adobe, yes we said adobe not abode :) is a huge two-bedroom apartment with hardwood floors and LOTS of natural light. We believe sharing is caring, and seeing as how we will be sharing our toilet and common areas, we also look forward to sharing: conversation, a bowl of cereal, and/or a glass of wine with our guests --no pressure . . . seriously. We're cool with basic interactions and respect the need for space.

Guest Access

full-sized bed
solid comfy queen-sized air mattress for additional 1-2 people
clean sheets and towels
full kitchen access
iron and board
local coffee and tea
access to small gym
access to washer and dryer (coin-operated)

The Neighborhood

We reside in an apartment complex in Old Louisville, nestled within community-centered non-profits and micro businesses. Our neighbors range across the social economic scale, providing vibrant character and resiliency in an enduring part of Louisville. It is truly one of the most eclectic and charming neighborhoods in the city--beautifully historic preserved Victorians, pedestrian only "courts," bike-friendly roads, tree-lined streets, all within a short distance away from just about everything:

Louisville International Airport (SDF) -- 10 min drive (5.0 miles)
Central Park; St. James Court -- 5 min walk
The Palace; Mercury Ballroom -- 20 min walk; 5 min drive (1.0 mile)
Kentucky International Convention Center -- 25 min walk; 5 min drive (1.0 mile)
Downtown Louisville (KFC Yum Center; Actors Theatre; Muhammad Ali Center; Kentucky Arts Center) -- 30 min walk; 7 min drive (1.5 miles)
Waterfront Park -- 45 min walk; 12 min drive (2.5 miles)
Churchhill Downs -- 35 min walk; 9 min drive (2.0 miles)
University of Louisville -- 20 min walk; 5 min drive (1.0 mile)
The Highlands: Bardstown Road/Baxter Avenue -- 12 min drive (3.0 miles)
Frankfort Avenue -- 15 min drive (5.0 miles)
Cherokee Park -- 15 min drive (5.0 miles)
NuLu -- 10 min drive (2.0 miles)

During your stay, we'll be equipped and eager to share and recommend some of the city's gems!
