This place is amazing!!! So rustic and tastefully decorated. We really loved the waterfront firepit and using the kayaks and canoes. Will definitely be back.
Steve and Jane's home is lovely - quirky and a bit different. We enjoyed staying there and it is a great base to visit the Bruce Peninsula, waterfalls, Grey Roots Museum and the fabulous Tom Thomson gallery. I cooked 2 meals there and could find everything I needed (high praise from a keen cook). We left another container of vinegar for the dishwasher and a few more leftovers for others to enjoy.
Quaint, comfortable cottage in great location. The cottage is a ideal place to relax, unwind and enjoy the view of the lake. Our group was three adults and two children and there was plenty of space. The rooms are nicely furnished and the kitchen is well equipped. The woodburning stove makes it cosy in the evenings. Highly recommend this property.
What an amazing trip. Arriving to the cottage felt super warm although it was -37. The cottage is gorgeous and is filled with little things that make it warm and welcoming, full of love. It was the perfect spot for the myself and 6 of my friends, it was small and quaint like the description says but there was still enough room for us to feel crowded. We actually ended up staying in a lot more than anticipated because the vibe in the cottage was enough. Comfy, relaxed. As for the hosts, they provided all the information needed to get there, get set up and gave suggestions for activities based off of what we were wanting to do. It never felt like a business deal, I didn't feel as though if I messed something up I'd be in trouble and forced to pay. I never worried. Jane and Steve seemed very trusting and never checked up on us but were available whenever I had questions. It was a very enjoyable weekend and I have to say that the stay as well as the hosts were a large factor in the simplicity of every decision I had to make.
This cozy cottage was exactly what we were looking for this holiday season, a true get-a-away from the hustle bustle of everyday life. It was specious, easily fit all 6 of us, and the view was stunning. We will hopefully be returning again and again. If you are looking for a beautiful place to escape to, consider yourself lucky to have found Balmy Breezes!
