Description

The space

BEFORE YOU BOOK: there are no discounts all stays are longer than a week, so the daily price already incorporates a weekly/monthly discount. Also, while my calendar is open for 6 months in advance, I do not consider booking requests far in advance unless they are very long ( > 1 month). Generally to get a booking it needs to be quite close, i.e. 1-2 days from the day the calendar is earliest available, or within a month from now.

THE BUILDING: The building is safe and clean pre-war legal factory loft conversion with an elevator, security cameras and monthly pest control inspections. It has an big roof deck with incredible views of Manhattan. There is coin laundry located in the basement of the building.

THE SPACE: The loft is unique, spacious, and comfortable... 1000 sq. ft. with 3 bedrooms and 10 ft ceilings ... it's kept clean and uncluttered. It has hardwood floors throughout, big windows with, and receives great natural sunlight (9 widows total!) with exposure to the South, East and North into the courtyard. The fully equipped kitchen is available to you... refrigerator, gas stove/oven, microwave, and beyond. The bathroom is shared.

YOUR ROOM: This cozy room queen size bed, desk, closet as well as a wardrobe, and air conditioner/fan. This room does not have a window, but has a French Door with both a sheer covering and a opaque curtain so you can control your light and privacy! The room can be securely locked and you will be provided with fresh sheets and bath towels. There is a hairdryer and iron available to you if you need it. 50MBps WiFi, basic local over-the-air HDTV, and apple TV / Netflix / Hulu is also included. Note: the TV is in the common room only.

ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Williamsburg is one of the trendiest neighborhoods in NYC. This apt is close to everything you will need-shops, restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, bars, vintage clothing stores etc. 10-minute walk to Bedford Ave, and the Graham L stop is on this block! If you have any questions or need recommendations, please don't hesitate to ask.

TRAVELING: The apt is less than a 1 min walk to the graham avenue L subway station which takes you into Manhattan in 10 min (3 short stops!). LaGuardia airport is just 15 min away by car or taxi. JFK International Airport is less than 60 minutes away by AirTrain and Subway, 35 minutes by car.

Interaction with guests

I always in the neighbourhood and go out often. I'm always up for a show, a band, a drink, a dance, a circus, shenanigans, whatever.

Getting around

The Graham Avenue L Train Subway stop is 200 feet from the building.

This is room is the perfect location for exploring New York. Only a short walk from the subway and located in a great area of Brooklyn close to lots of restaurants and bars. The room is as advertised.

Joel was a lovely host. He keeps you posted about changes in the apartment (someone leaving, or when someone comes in for cleaning), lets you know where the fresh bakeries are and is just very easy to reach out to. The room was exactually what I expected it to be, and for the time I was there it had enough storage space. I love Williamsburg in general, but never stayed in this area before and I really enjoyed it. Fine food around, grocery stores around the corner, fresh juices, you name it. Definitely recommend this place!

Joel is absolutely fantastic! And this apartment was perfect, clean and really well located- in between two subway stations (less than two minutes walk to each) Roomy and comfortable bedroom and living spaces, air conditioned apartment and bedroom. I could not have lucked out better with finding this great place. I am so eternally grateful to Joel who took the time when I arrived late on a Tuesday night to show me around the apartment, the complex, the AMAZING rooftop views, introduce me to a few locals and then took me around the area to point out great locals eats, shops, subway stations etc. It was my first solo trip and he made me feel right at home, thanks again for your hospitality Joel.

Joel is the best host ever. He showed me around the neighborhood as soon as I got there -in a personalized way according to the places/things I was looking for, and being my first time in Williamsburg, which is awesome by the way :)- and helped me out with everything I need to get myself settled in the city. He makes sure you're well and comfortable around the area and the place which is also an amazing apartment with everything you may need and more. Totally recommend this place for your visit to NYC!

Joel definitely went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The apartment itself is great, the rooftop is a great bonus - amazing sunsets and sunrises over Manhattan. Kitchen is basic but has everything you need, bathroom and bedrooms are spacious and clean! Thanks Joel for a truly memorable Airbnb experience.

The neighbourhood was great, loads of cool bars, cafes and places to eat and easy to get into Manhattan. Joel was very welcoming and showed us around the apartment building as well as suggesting lots of places to eat and drink. He was always available to contact and replied very quickly to all of my questions.

Joel User ProfileJoel is a superhost.

Heyoooo! I 'm Joel and I have been living in Williamsburg, Brooklyn for 6 years now, originally from Canada. Williamsburg is the best; Great places to hang with your friends, eat, drink, and meet new people; Easy access to everything in the city. It is a young, vibrant neighbourhood with new things developing everyday.

I design and build software, and travel quite a bit to various destinations around the world. When in the city I'm out seeing shows and hanging with my friends, most are in the music business. I have also traveled to Argentina, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, England, Greece,Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy,Japan, Morocco, Singapore, Spain, and Thailand; many more to go!

I play soccer a few times a week to keep fit, and then love to go out, socialize, and have a blast and completely undo all that hard work. :p
