Joel's place was the perfect spot for my stay during the week in NYC, where I was traveling for work. It's located just a block away from the subway stop and is near so many great restaurants and bars. Joel was incredibly accommodating to my travel schedule and made sure I received the full tour when I arrived. It was a cozy and clean room and spacious apartment, with just about the most comfortable bed I have slept in. As a woman traveling alone, I always felt safe. The housemates were lovely and kind, and very respectful of the shared space. It was such a relief to have this place to come home to after work each day during the week, and even better to be able to hang out in the energy of this great neighborhood. Highly recommend!
Brooklyn is definitely the place to be! Great location, great neighbourhood, great atmosphere! The apartment is very practical; enventhough we were visiting the city during the day, it was nice to have a place called "home" to enjoy breakfast or diner or just rest!
We were very nicely welcomed by Joel and our flatmates!
Joel was very welcoming! He gave us many tips about the good places in the neighborhood (restaurants, bars, coffee shops...) and what he thought best to visit in a week!
The room is very basic, but we spent all day visiting so it wasn’t a problem! And the apartment is very well located! Willliamsburg is really great, and the L-train will take you to the best spots in NY.
Thank you Joel!
Joel was really nice host! When I was arrive at the station, I got lost the way. But he came to pick up us! Also he taught me a lot of informations about the house and NYC for us. It was really helpful :) The house was really clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Location was awesome! If I will go to NY again, I want to use this house! Thank you Joel ;)
We spent 10 days here and highly recommend this room/apartment. Even though we arrived late at night, our host was there to give us a warm welcome and was ready to help during our stay. Room was really good, especially considering the price. The living room/kitchen was great; had all necessary equipment and felt homely. The neighborhood is lively and feels safe, even late at night. The building is on the same block as the subway that took us to Manhattan in 10 minutes, worked perfectly. After long days of exploring NYC, it was a good place to come back to at night :-)
This was the easiest and safest place I've ever stayed. The room was cozy and perfect for sleeping and the roommates were super cool. The L train is underneath the building. Prime space, super laid back people. Will stay again for sure.

About the Host, Joel
Heyoooo! I have been living in Williamsburg, Brooklyn for 5 years now, originally from Canada, and love it here! So much to do and places to hang with your friends. It is a vibrant neighbourhood with new things developing everyday.
I work for a software company, and travel often. When in the city I'm out seeing shows and hanging with my friends, most are in the music business. I've have traveled to US, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Argentina, England, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and have many more to go!
I play football (soccer), ice hockey to keep active and love to head out, socialize, and have a blast!
Hosting has been a fantastic experience; having met so many interesting people from all over the world, and having developed friendships with them has been something would not be possible without AirBnB!
Hope to see you soon!
