The space

Welcome to downtown Wilmington, DE! My house is in the historic Cool Spring neighborhood that's quiet, friendly and a nice 6-7 block walk into town. Outside, enjoy parks for exercising and 7-8 blocks in the other direction, restaurants, coffee shops and bars.

Inside, make yourself at home in one of my extra bedrooms with a view of our city 'skyline.' I'm convenient to our outstanding selection of cultural and historic attractions including Winterthur, the Nemours Mansion & Garden, Hagley and the beautiful Brandywine Valley as well as Rt. 95 (three blocks from entrance/exit), Amtrak and buses.

If you have business meetings or are starting a new job in downtown Wilmington, you can walk there, take public transportation within a few blocks of my house or we'll figure out another approach.

I offer recommendations for local unique cafes and restaurants. There is a friendly cat in the house. I work from home sometimes so I have some flexibility.

Ed's place is very cozy, clean, and comfortable. Ed is a very attentive host: communication was clear, check-in was easy, and facilities (towels, soap, etc) around the house were plentiful! The area is quite nice, and a short walk from Trolley Square. Would recommend!

Ed was a great host! Quick and easy communication! Nice and very quiet place, exactly what I needed for one night! He baked very tasty blueberry cake, that was very sweet of him! Parking was fine.

Response from Ed:
I must say that I've been cooking for a long time but this weekend's blueberry cake/giant muffin certainly was one of my best. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Ed's place was fantastic, the neighborhood was close to everything and beautiful. Ed was very friendly and funny, my bus was delayed by an hour and he came and picked me up from the station. He is a very accommodating host, instead of a guest it's like a brief roommate. If you are coming to Wilmington, come here! And very friendly cat too!

clean, quiet and friendly, but low privacy. Nice place for staying in general

I'm a real extrovert so I love having guests in my big house. Come for a night or two if you have business in Wilmington or longer if you'd like to visit attractions like Winterthur, Longwood Gardens, Hagley, Nemours, etc. I work from home so I'm flexible.
