Excellent communication from the start of the booking, with helpful hints about how to reach the apartment by public transport and, the day before we left the UK, warnings that the weather might cause problems. When we reached the apartment we met Giuliano, who gave us a very warm welcome and more information about the apartment and the area.
The apartment is on a closed estate, so very secure, but very well-placed for exploring the town and getting around in general. Everything was in full working order and of a very high standard. Despite the very cold weather the apartment remained warm and cosy, and it was also easy to keep clean and tidy.
Giuliano was also able to tell us that there would be problems with public transport to return to the airport on New Year's Day, and provided the link to an airport shuttle which we used instead.
I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to spend time in a fascinating town. It was very suitable for our group of three adults, and we hope we can come back one day to explore the town more thoroughly. Thank you so much, Rossella and Giuliano!
Ottima posizione. Da consigliare!!
We met Rosello and Guiliano at the flat they showed us all the facilities and left us with a bottle of wine and a basic larder. The supermarket across the road was fantastic and we were able together everything we needed for the four nights we spent in Padova. The flat was absolutely lovely - very clean, comfortable and quiet. The location was fantastic and we could walk to all the historic sites, restaurants, markets.
Our hosts were very welcoming and had a file of information on pretty much everything you would need to know for our visit. They very generously allowed us to extend our departure time and drove us to the bus station through the rain when we couldn't get a taxi. I thoroughly recommend this accommodation and padova as a wonderful and extremely interesting holiday destination.
We stayed for 5 nights at the Marin apartment. Guillemo made us very welcome and was very helpful. The apartment was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Situated a few minutes walk from the stunning Pratto delle Valle, it is a perfect location for all Padua s attractions but quiet enough to feel relaxed. There is a very handy Spar shop over the road and some lovely cafés and bars locally. We would definitely recommend the apartment!
We felt very welcome! Rossella was so helpful about the bus and how to get around. The description was accurate and it was so beautiful there.
Rosella could not meet us, but her warm and welcoming husband, Juliano (sp?) did. He explained everything about the apartment and left us in excellent shape. When we were ready to leave, he called a cab for us and helped with our luggage a lot...for which we were grateful as my husband had back issues and was not able to help much.
The place is lovely for two couples and the walking distance to everything was great...we did use the Tram too, which was convenient and easy. And Juliano gave easy instructions!
We had tried to find a place in Verona, and were disgruntled that we could not, and ended up staying two nights in Padua instead. ALL FOUR of us decided after our stay that we were so happy it turned out that way, as we loved Padua more than Verona and the lovely apartment and the ease of seeing things was excellent. We got to see most of the great sights in Padua ...loved the tours and walks around the University. It was the best! The "high end" shopping in Verona had been highly touted, but we found Padua equally good and easier to get around in. The markets in Padua were great and we had two wonderful dinners with our market purchases!
Would recommend to anyone! Robbie and David (and Jim and Suzanne)
Rosella and her husband were warm, friendly and welcoming. We really appreciated their directions for finding our way to the apartment and their guidance in finding our way around Padova. The apartment was well equipped, bright, comfortable and quiet. After a lot of travelling we particularly appreciated a washing machine that was easy to use and a place to hang our washing! We enjoyed sitting on the balcony for a glass of wine in the evening.
