Well lit room with a comfy bed in a family home of 3. Quiet neighborhood and easy access to highways and a great health food breakfast restaurant within walking distance Cul de sac street. Loving family. Pet friendly. Kitchen, bath, laundry, wireless.Enjoy!
Large dresser, completely empty, small stool and a collapsable table behind the bedroom door for instant office space or more luggage storage!
There is a noticeable warmth to the space from artistic flare to the actual vibe of the kids and I; we are very welcoming and fun people. So the space is about relationship as much as it is about being kept orderly and being well-lit, etc.
Internet is pretty key around these parts and I do allow limited access to the kitchen depending on the circumstances of the travelers. Guests are welcome to share table space in the kitchen for working if they feel like it and they can also use our common living room couch area as well as the back outdoor patio area where there is a table and chairs. Laundry is available for longer stays (over 4 days).
Interaction with Guests
The kids and I enjoy talking with guests and at the same time, we generally do go about working or studying and can be found in our respective work/study spaces more often than not. We are happy to share out insights about the area if people want the "local perspective".
Nice place to stay and Jenifer very sweet. Busy lady w lots going on!!
Enjoyed the house and Jennifer's family as well as the smell of the home baked goodies in the kitchen. Great Mexican Bakery around the corner as well as a Taqueria.
Jennifer was friendly, responsive and easygoing. The room she offered was clean and comfortable. Her house is located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Unfortunately I could not experience her hospitality for longer than one night! Would definitely recommend her place!
A great place to stay. The room was clean, comfortable and in a nice neighborhood. The family was very friendly to me and I would like to stay again.
Jennifer wasn't able to be at her home when I arrived but her daughter was there and was welcoming and helpful. My room was cozy, clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was quiet and I slept well. I met Jennifer on the second evening of my stay and we had some pleasant conversation. All in all I would recommend Jennifer's home as a nice place to land if you are staying in the area for a short while.
Jennifer is such a nice and caring person. During my stay she helped me with the grocery shopping, showed me the area and even drove me to work when it rained. The room is a cute little Bedroom with a large bed which is really comfortable. Thank you for everything!
I stayed three nights at Jennifer. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. I slept very well without any problems. Room is a bit smaller with a smaller desk. It is not ideal for doing work for long periods of time. I didn't spend any time in the room other than sleeping, it was just fine for me.
Jennifer is a great host and her house is very warm and comfortable. She is lovely to chat with.
Jennifer was a great host. She made you feel really comfortable. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Easy to get around town from her house.
Executive Life Coach, Trainer/Consultant and former Local Government manager native to Ohio but California resident since 1987. Extremely fond of the outdoors and love to read and absolutely love being a parent. My daughter attends a Waldorf (Steiner) school and my son goes to public school. We all love to travel and the last place we went together was on a mission trip to Uganda with an organization called Watoto. Music, dance and are all appreciated as well. We are all engaged in life and surrounded by friendships, love and fun. Five things I can't live without: (kids not allowed to be included for obvious reasons)-love, conversations, nature, passion, cheese. Favorite travel destinations: Pacific Coast anywhere, Europe in the future (Ireland, Spain, England, Scottland, Austria, Germany, Croatia, Poland, Italy). Books: anything by Marianne Williamson, Pema Chodron, Oriah Mountain Dreamer, Tolle, Carolyn Myss, Seth Godin, Mike Dooley, Wayne Dyer and of late Brene Brown. Movies: unabashedly a fan of The English Patient and mostly love the genre of dramas while kids seem to like action and adventure and we all like comedy! Food: Love to use gas grill and cook on it year round because we can. Adore fresh green salads and whatever fruits are in season. We all love Thai food. Love ice cream and know where the good places are for the best home made kinds!!
Hosting: You will experience a relaxed pace and style here and a kind of refuge from the madness. There is levity and things are "chill," which is the same thing as relaxed but more "hip" to say. The space itself is well-lit and feels comfortable and airy. The entire design is based on relationships having the primary focus for the space. It is inviting and not intimidating. Friendly. As head of household I really appreciate clear communication and will model that in terms of your stay here. I can't imagine anything cooler than meeting fellow travelers from all over...what an awesome way to share the experiences we are all having on mother earth!! As for a motto, I'm going to go with this: Worthiness is our birthright and we are all precious.
