Sometimes I still can hear the waves of the ocean in a silent night in the low season . Tulum is a new city and it's growing steadily. More people are coming to this paradise, and so the noise level is growing as well . Mexico is a lively and noisy country , life happens often on the streets . Dogs are here to guard houses , the cocks cry early in the morning and party starts usually at 11 pm ending a 4 am . AEROLITO is a quiet oasis in the center , four blocks away from the main strip . It depends from where the wind blows , and where the moon is , noise comes from outside into this paradise .

My mom and my sister had reservations about staying in Tulum as they are more used to Resort vacations, but Aerolito changed their minds. Ariane welcomed us upon arrival with tips and and perfect explanation of Tulum. Mornings are a real treat with an array of local flavors and great conversations with guests and Ariane.
Ariane is super attentive to her property, working to keep areas clean, comfortable and functional. Don't be surprised when you see her gardening with a machete as you return from an amazing adventure.
Full kitchen, fun rooms and garden hammocks — you can't ask for more in this amazing, beautiful and vibrant city of Mexico.
Your in town when staying at Aerolito so join the neighborhood while your there, neighbors are super nice and love saying hello as you pass in the streets. You can have amazing sit down dinners or pop into a shop for fantastic street food, I just couldn't get enough with my huge appetite.
You can go to any beach and get there by bike, car or scooter. The community has a warm vibe to it so you can even hitch hike to the beach as there are plenty already driving in the same direction.
It's the best of both worlds, since getting to Tulum is easy from NY it is a place I hope to return to often. Thanks Ariane, my family and I had an amaaaazing time :)
Ariane is a great host - very welcoming and easy to talk to. She shared a map of Tulum with us and gave us recommendations of where to go. She has a woman who works for her that makes delicious breakfast - when they ask if you want eggs say yes!! It is also nice to have your own little kitchen to do light looking and keep beers cold. Aerolito is a nice, clean place to stay and Tulum has lots to do.
This was my second visit with Ariane at Aerolito and so grateful that I was able to return. Ariane provides a stay in Tulum like no other, for me, I feel I am in the heart of Tulum. A great place to be and return to yourself.
Ariane is a great host with all essentials taken care of, if you need something, just ask. Breakfast is my favorite time to eat wonderful food, connect with other travelers and plan your day. The beds are comfortable, privacy is respected and safety is ensured. The natural setting and gardens are phenomenal - Ariane has a true gift of creating beauty and comfort.
I look forward to my next visit - possibly passing through on a trip to Belize and Guatemala. Thank you once again Ariane and family!
My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Aerolito. Ariane's home feels like a little jungle oasis in the middle of Tulum. We loved the winding paths through the garden to arrive at our little hut, and although the buildings are close together, Ariane has put in thoughtful touches that help maintain privacy, like shades on the patio and a private bathroom for each residence. Our room itself was very clean and tidy, and we took many a nap in the hammocks on the lovely patio outside our room. We didn't use the kitchen while we were there (too many awesome places to eat!) but it also was clean and had all the essentials.
The best part of Aerolito though, were the recommendations that Ariane gave us. She provided us with a great map of the area, and told us the best beaches to go to, which cenotes to see, and (most importantly) where to eat. I was so glad that we decided to stay in this part of town rather than the touristy spots on the beach road. We got a great feel for the town itself, and enjoyed renting bikes to get to the beach and the Tulum ruins. We had a wonderful time in Tulum, and would not hesitate to stay at Aerolito again when we return!
I arrived walking from the bus station at 9pm with my rolling suitcase, following Ariane's directions -- easy, safe and perfect. The house is enough blocks off the main road to offer a peaceful respite but easily accessed. Ariane has built the grounds with a welcoming layout of lush plants, creative materials and paths to the individual cuartos -- a tiny tropical oasis. I loved hopping on a bike to explore the town and riding all the way to the beach for a rewarding little sweat. Ariane recommended some spots in town to eat dinner (and the private kitchen is a great advantage for those looking to prep their own food). Breakfast was an included bonus -- eggs, fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, coffee... healthy and filling. Oh and hot water showers -- luxury! Note on sound (this goes for any location in town and on the beach): sometimes neighbors might be playing loud music until late into the night. It helps to make friends with that fact, and use the great earplugs provided by Ariane. A sweet spot and a great host. Gracias Ariane!
Ariane's is the nicest place I've ever stayed on Air BnB. The garden is amazing-- the houses are beautifully finished (really a work of art) and Ariane runs a tight ship.
Ariane was a wonderful host. She is very relaxed, sweet, and wise. I could sit and talk to her for days. Her place is so beautifully peaceful with palm trees and hammocks throughout the property. Breakfast was nice, she rented us bikes for the day, gave us great food recommendations, and gave me a big hug when I left. I can't wait to come visit this great place again.
