The Space

A long driveway in the woods leads you to a secluded yurt.

The yurt offers an unique lodging experience with modern amenities. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas range/stove and all necessary cooking utensils. It has a full size refrigerator, deep sink, Bosch dishwasher, toaster oven, microwave, tea kettle, coffee maker and complete cooking and dining equipment. The living space is decorated tastefully with an extra comfortable queen size futon(not your ordinary mattress). The bedroom space has a Serta pillow top queen size mattress that is well appointed with cotton sheets for your sleeping comfort. The bathroom has standard porcelain fixtures, as well as, a charming claw foot bathtub that has a shower. Cozy soft cotton towels wait on a shelf for your use. The bathroom has a big closet and dresser for storing your belongings. The yurt is heated by a woodstove. There will be firewood in the yurt for your use and instructions of where to find cut and dry firewood for your use in the woodstove. And, a Rinnai thermostat controlled heater lets you sleep through the night without having to get up to feed the woodstove. There is no Wi-Fi and most people have no cell phone service.

During the months of August and October there is a minimum of a two night stay requested.

The yurt is just steps from the Hartland Winter Trail system – cross-country skiing and/or snowshoeing, as well as, hiking. The fauna and flora of Vermont are plentiful around the yurt. In the winter, you will hear the hooting of owls. In the spring, you will hear the songs of the spring peepers. In the summer, you hear the beautiful melodies of the birds. In the fall, you’ll enjoy the magnificent colors of the deciduous trees and the display of mushrooms along the trails.
