Adorably remodeled west side home with vaulted ceilings & contemporary kitchen. Located a hop skip and a jump from everything Bend: brewpubs, cafes, trails. You generally have the entire space to yourselves, as I'm never home and travel frequently.
When people walk into the house they always exclaim how cute it is. Vaulted ceilings with tongue and groove pine throughout. Gas fireplace in the living room makes for a warm and inviting atmosphere. Spacious kitchen is great for socializing too.
The bedroom is south facing, getting really with nice light. Bedroom ceiling is also vaulted so it feels really open and airy. There's a laptop/writing desk, and a closet for hanging clothes.
The kitchen, bathroom, and home interior have all been remodeled in the last few years--contemporary Ikea style. The bathroom has a ceramic covered cast iron tub, concrete-looking tile in the tub-surround (NOT a fiberglass tub/shower combo), and dreamy ocean blue Marmoleum flooring. The house has an on-demand water heater which makes for nice long hot showers.
The bedroom and living rooms are carpeted (and vacuumed regularly with a Dyson Animal DC-14). There's Marmoleum (made from linseed oil, not vinyl) flooring in the entryway, bathroom, and kitchen. The house is always kept clean and tidy, uncluttered -- as you would expect from a guest space you are visiting. There are well cared for plants in the common areas, which most people seem to like. The Christmas cactus seems to be in bloom 5 months a year.
The front and back yards are landscaped and fully fenced for privacy. There's a lovely travertine paver patio in the backyard, with an outdoor fireplace and plenty of chopped wood. It's a nice spot to relax with a chilled beer or wine. The house is not on a busy street, and the block is generally pretty darn quiet.
The house is be shared with the homeowner (who is rarely home). Sometimes I rent out my room on airbnb to other traveler's when I'm out of town. It has never been a problem with folks getting along or sharing the space, especially since most folks are so active during their time in Bend.
There's also a deck outside the bedroom with a couple of chairs for lounging there as well, or simply for reading a book in the sunshine too.
I've traveled a lot and enjoyed staying in guesthouses; I'm now delighted to be able to open my own home to travelers. I have two rooms on airbnb. So, there could possibly be another guest during your stay. I have an Airstream travel trailer out in front of the house, which I can stay in if a guest would like more privacy, or would like to book both rooms.
There's a completely detached guesthouse in the backyard (with it's own alley parking and access), and it is also available through airbnb. Here's a link to that listing:
There are bus stops blocks away. Then again, everything is blocks away. The river trail loop is under a mile away (a fairly direct run from the house), and Phil's trailhead is just a couple of miles away (and an easy ride from the house as well).

I work a lot, socialize outside the home, and am generally never around. There's times guests have stayed for days and we never saw each other. I am nice and friendly, just not a homebody. I'm totally available anytime by phone and text to give beta and suggestions for dining, music & culture, trails, etc.
The house is located at the end of a quiet street, but close to (website hidden) Bachelor Shuttle bus is a few blocks away. A multi-acre off-leash dog area with outstanding city views is also blocks away. Brewpubs, cafes, and foodcarts are nearby too.
There's a bus stop a few blocks away. Walking and biking to things is reasonable too.
I'm friendly, but around very infrequently.
Great place in the best part of town. Jeremy was very accommodating and the house was super clean. Really cool updates in this cottage, including a spacious kitchen with cookware and utensils provided. Comfortable bed. Back porch area with fire pit and bike racks were nice as well. Will definitely be back!
Jeremy was very responsive when we needed to ask him questions. His place was clean, quite, and looked exactly how the pictures look. We got to his place before check in and we were able to get the code from him and get an early check in. He has a perfect location! We would 100% stay there again.
We had a great stay. We loved all the thriving plans. Great location close to restaurants.
I will recommend this place to my friends who want to stay in Bend.
Jeremy's place was perfect. Close to town (we walked), quiet, and so warm and cozy with the fireplace going! The bed was comfortable with warm blankets, and the kitchen spotless. The yard/deck area out back was great for our dog.
We hope to be back again soon!
Jeremy's house is in a convenient location. We had easy access to great food, beer, and coffee - all the essentials for our trip.
His home is dog friendly with a dog door and a fully fenced yard. We appreciate being able to bring our puppy on this trip with us.
We did not get to meet Jeremy but he made himself available by phone if we needed anything.
We had a wonderful stay in Bend at Jeremy's place. He was an excellent host and didn't mind that we arrived before he was completely ready. Jeremy gave us great ideas for our 48 hours in Bend - he knows his beer spots, great food, and outdoor activities. The room was clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in! His house has a bungalow vibe - wonderful overflowing plants and a cozy wood stove. Jeremy had a place for us to keep our bikes out of view, and made it easy to come and go as we pleased - as if we lived there! I enjoyed my visit to Bend so much I am planning my move... We would definitely stay with Jeremy again! The experience was perfect - easy and hospitable. Thank you for hosting, Jeremy!
Great Location, and so clean and comfortable. We also really enjoyed Jeremy's recommendations, plenty of great places to eat drink and be merry within walking distance. After a delicious breakfast at Brother Jon's it was so nice to be able to hike up to Overturf park.
It was a short stop-over for us on the way through Bend. Lovely house, good location and great communication from Jeremy! Would definitely stay again.
Jeremy made it very easy to arrange a two night stay the day before I arrived. His place is centrally located with a few cafe/restaurants within walking distance and with the downtown area a quick drive away. He was helpful with local recommendations when asked. And had good internet too as I needed to get some work done while there.
