You're home! Our spacious, 3-level, end-unit town home includes a full kitchen, central air conditioning, dishwasher, washer/dryer, TVs, strong wireless access throughout, nearby saltwater lagoon with a beach, 2 pools, a playground, & tennis courts. You can access a jetty, small beach (with tiki huts and fire pits) on the ocean side. We're close to many restaurants/bars, water activities, and local music.

The space
The first floor has its own bedroom, living space, and full bath. The second floor has a living/dining room, completely stocked kitchen, full bath and two decks. One screened in facing a saltwater lagoon. The third floor has two bedrooms, one full bath, and two decks. The condo is an end unit.

Please note that grills are for communal use.

During your stay, please observe all Kawama Homeowners Association rules and guidelines, as follows:

1) Pools and lake/lagoon are open from dawn to dusk.
2) Children under the age of (16) sixteen years are not permitted in the pool or lake/lagoon without adult supervision.
3) No pets, glass objects, bicycles, skateboards, or frisbees are permitted in the pool, lake, or tennis court areas.
4) All pets are required to be on a leash when outside and all waste must be removed and disposed of.
5) No fishing permitted in the lake/lagoon or marina.
6) The tennis courts open at 8:00 am and close at 11:00 pm. Play is limited to 1 hour if others are waiting to play.
7) Bag and place garbage in the designated area inside the dumpsters. Please do not bag recycling; please place in the blue dumpster *without bagging* and always close lids. Dumpsters are located across from building M, behind wooden fence.
8) Night parties and activities where loud music is played must end no later than 11pm.
9) Passenger vehicles are limited to 2 per unit at any one time.
10) Any improperly parked vehicle will be towed at the owner’s expense.
11) The Kawama HOA boatyard is the designated area for parking boats, PWCs and/or trailers.
12) Boat trailers must be registered and show unit number. Proof of at Least $300,000 of liability insurance is required to bring a boat onto Kawama property.
13) Please observe 10mph speed limit on property at all times.
14) All golf carts must be driven safely by a person of 16 years of age or older. The number of passengers may not exceed the number of seats on the cart.
15) Do not hang clothing, towels, or clotheslines on the balconies or railings of your unit.
16) Please report violations to any of the above rules to the security guards at the front gate.

Key Largo's truly offers something for everyone! Kawama Yacht Club is a gated community with a 24-hour guard house and plenty of parking. The condo is modern, spacious, air-conditioned, safe, and accommodating for tiny guests on their first trip to the Keys and older guests needing a relaxing getaway alike. Children can splash around in the pools or lagoon, play on the playground, or go exploring to meet some native iguanas! Active guests can access the marina for boating to the reefs (Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary), Gulf Stream, or Florida Bay; go for morning walks or runs around the lagoon or on the water; do yoga in the bay; and/or participate in a wide variety of water sports at any of the local vendors along Overseas Highway, or Rte. 1, (we're happy to suggest a few!) or in Pennekamp State Park.

We are mostly New England natives now living all over, although we picked up a Texan along the way, too. We are Red Sox fans, occasional (OK, often) party animals, nature lovers, educators, and experienced divers. We love Key Largo and are confident you will, too! Most of us have been visiting Key Largo too long to admit, dating back to when Nana first moved to the Rock Harbor club (just down the road) in the 1970s. We've been vacationing down here ever since, and it holds a dear spot for multiple generations in our families. We have fond memories here... of being young, of key lime pie and rum runners, dive trips, and stone crab. We even had a family wedding in Key West a few years back. In 2014, we suddenly lost a father, husband, and friend. When the opportunity serendipitously arose to finally have our own place in Key Largo (something he and his wife had long wanted), it seemed too wonderful to pass up. While celebrating a milestone birthday together in Key Largo in the summer of 2015, we drank enough to finally do it! ...or so the story goes. We hope you enjoy our home away from home as much as we do!
