A customized "Aloho" one bedroom resort condo: equipped with two full sized beds and an air mattress, the room can sleep with to 6 people with a private lanai. The property is located in Plantation Hale resort that is less than 200 yards to Pacific Ocean in the town of Kapa'a.
We proudly present our custom designed, one bedroom condominium located on Kauai's Tropical Coconut Coast, the home to the Ancient Hawaiian Royalty.
Your private, garden view, very quiet condominium(across from Bett Midler's private Reserve) is located less than 100 yards from beautiful and tranquil Waipouli Beach, with living room, kitchen, and Lanai views of Mystic Sleeping Giant Mountain and Mount Waialeale(The Wettest Spot on Earth).
Nestled amid a magnificent grove of coconut trees, your condominium couldn't be located in a better place on the island. Just 15 minutes from the airport, a short drive to the North Shore and Rain Forests and to the south, famous Poipu Beach(with its natural lava tube blowhole), breathtaking Waimea Canyon(The Grand Canyon of the Pacific) as well as Lydgate park, one of a few beaches with a lifeguard on duty offering swimming and snorkeling in two protected tide pools abundant with Exotic Sealife.
This 1 bedroom 'Aloha' condo can make a fantastic vacation home or long term rental. Plantation Hale Unit H2 features The Best 1-bedroom unit(as opposed to studio lodging units)on Kauai. This is garden view unit, very quiet closest to shopping, the pool and Bar-B-Que. So comfortable and well situated..you will never want to leave. A ground floor unit, full furnished, equipped with two full-size beds in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room which would allow you sleep up to 5 or 6 people.
Can you get better than this? You Bet. Your condominium is located in the Plantation Hale Beach Resort with its own activity center, it has 3 pools, shuffle board and a putting green in the heart of Kapaa town, which has great restaurants, and a wide range of tourist and local services are just steps away. The Coconut Marketplace next door has over 60 shops and great Family restaurants. Sometimes it's just nice to leave the car parked. Free parking and all phone calls including Canada will be provided.
Complimentary champagne and yummy Hawaiian Macadamia chocolate will be provided upon arrival.
All the comforts of home are provided so you can truly relax, explore and enjoy the Kauai.
The guests will be able to use the kitchen, wifi, and will also have parking. All is free.

There is a farmers' market every Tuesday. Treat yourself out to the freshest ingredients anyone can offer!

The listing was accurate. A breeze to check in and out. It suited our needs perfectly for an excellent price.
Molly's place was clean and in a great location. Molly has everything you could possibly need. We loved all the little markets nearby and the bakery was a nice treat too. If you have young children this place is perfect for a family of four.
It's impossible for me to review unit H2 because Molly decided to place us in unit F1. Why was this a problem? We booked H2 based on the pictures of a new unit ("grand opening") with contemporary furniture. What we found when we arrived after a long day of travel was unit, F1, with older unit with worn plantation-style furniture. Definitely not new, not contemporary, and not the unit we rented. And definitely not worth the $129 per-night we paid.
As another reviewer stated, Molly's response to our concern was completely unacceptable. She gave no response to our initial email, which stating how angry we were about the switch ("bait and switch"?). Instead we received an email from the caretaker of the unit saying she would rectify the other issues (missing light bulbs , dirty sheet, etc. we had with the unit.) It wasn't until we sent a second email that Molly responded. Did Molly apologize? No. Did she explain why we were put in a unit we didn't want or rent? No. She sent a simple one line response saying the two units were the same square footage and we could look at unit F1 to confirm the square footage. That's it- no apology, no admission of a mistake. Nothing.
The caretaker of the unit, Cary, was great. Quickly arrived at our unit to rectify the problem. Apologized for the inconvenience and addressed the problems immediately. She explained that this was the third time, in a row, that Molly rented unit F1, but placed the guest in H2. Molly should pay Cary for a lesson in hospitality and guest satisfaction. If Cary was the owner of the unit, this would be a positive review, regardless of what unit we were placed in.
The complex, Plantation Hale, where the unit is located is fine. It's an older complex, that is very well maintained, has nice grounds, near a beach (not suitable for swimming, but great for walking in the morning), and on the edge of Kapaa. The complex is not a resort (you wouldn't spend the day there), but perfect location-wise if you plan to spend the day exploring all areas of Kauai.
It's possible to book a unit directly from Plantation Hale for the same price. I'd recommended it. I'm sure they'll put you in the room you booked, admit when they made a mistake, insure that it didn't happen more than once, (and certainly not three times), and address any short-comings in their service.
Because this is a public forum, Molly will respond with an apology and concern that we didn't enjoy our stay, etc. Too bad she couldn't find the time to do that sooner.

Very nice place, just accrocs the street from the ocean. We had the pleasure to see a monk seal in the morning on the beach, pure beauty of Hawaii islands. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived. Thank you for everything!
The apartment is in a nice community in a great location, approximately a 10-15 minute drive from LIH airport. It is also walkable to the beach (~3 minutes) and some stores and restaurants in the area (2-10 minutes). While Kauai isn't a huge island, some tourist sights such as the Waimea Canyon and some hiking trails are 60-75 minutes away via car, so plan accordingly. The apartment is in a complex that has 3 pools and 2 hot tubs, plus coin operated laundry ($1.50 wash / $1.00 dry). Beach and bath towels for 4 people were provided in the apartment.
Molly was ok at responding to questions via email, although I did ask a multi-part question and she only answered one part of it, so I had to followup to get the remaining answers. I had minor difficulties at checkin where the office initially could not find my rental agreement, but we got it sorted out after calling Molly.
The listing claims that there are 2 beds plus a sofa bed and can sleep 6 people, which implies that the sofa bed is pull out. However, this is not the case and it is just a regular sofa, so the apartment can really only comfortably sleep 5 people. Additionally, the internet was very slow. We did also find two small cockroaches in the apartment during our stay (nothing too serious).
The listing also claims "Complimentary champagne and yummy Hawaiian Macadamia chocolate will be provided upon arrival", but none of that was provided.
Our stay was very comfortable. The beach is a short 3 min walk from the place we were staying. The coconut market place was very close by. It included shops and restaurants and free hula shows a couple of times a week. All in all we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Molly.
The pictures are better than the space but over all it's not bad. We had a great time and it was the perfect location for us, close to the airport and easy to get to both the north and south shores. It has a corner market a short walk away and it's just a few steps to the beach. The over all feel is defiantly a hotel with a kitchen and less a condo.
