Dogs are welcome
Tom and Mary are fantastic hosts and bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. The cottage is charming - it hasn't been modernised to within an inch of its life - and retains an honest Welsh mountain cottage charm.
Tom lit the fire for us before our late arrival and each day on our return from a day in the mountains which was a lovely and thoughtful touch. They also stocked the fridge with milk and orange juice - had tea and coffee and a packet of biscuits. Really thoughtful and appreciated touches.
It is perfectly placed for walks in the mountains. It is in a lovely spot and their horses and two dogs are super friendly. Our boys loved them.
There is a small counter-top oven - so we didn't make the stew we planned - but really - its not a problem.
We'll definitely come again!
Had an excellent time. Gorgeous little place that was just what we wanted for a short get-away. Local area is stunning with plenty to explore for a hiker, and you're on the doorstep of Snowdonia and the best of what North Wales has to offer. Tom and Mary were tremendously welcoming and friendly and always eager to offer any assistance they could with our stay. Thanks very much
Lovely cosy cottage with very welcoming hosts who are dog friendly +++.The location is ideal for sightseeing/walking/climbing and yet not far from the shops/town.Will definately be returning and hopefully the weather will be kinder.
We had a fantastic stay. Tom and Mary's place is in a beautiful setting, very comfortable and the were great hotsts!
Where to start.
Location - beautiful
Cottage - stunning
Tom and Mary - could not ask for a better pair of hosts.
We arrived with our dog on the Wednesday night to a 200 degrees log burning fire and enjoyed a bottle of wine in their cozy cottage before bed. Mary popped in in the Thursday morning and suggested some easy walking routes given the weather and our walking standards. Mary was lovely and we had a great day out in Snowdonia.
The overall experience was second to none and well worth a visit. We will be back as our first family holiday was made one to remember by the whole two days.
My friend and I stayed at Tom and Mary's for two nights during my visit to Snowdonia NP. The self-contained apartment is very cozy, close to hiking routes and Tom and Mary took well care of us by lighting on the chimney every afternoon before we arrived and providing us with plenty of information on trekking routes. Lovely.
A very homely and cosy cottage in a fantastic and stunning location. It is the perfect base for exploring Snowdonia National Park, Llyn Peninsula and the North coast of Wales. We were made to feel very welcome by Mary and Tom, who kindly lit the wood burner each day for us to ensure a warm return from a day's walking! There is a basic kitchen allows for simple cooking, lovely warm shower and bathroom, and cute lounge for reading and watching a film. We definitely recommend this place!
Three of us went to stay at Mary and Tom's apartment at the end of October. Whilst it was very chilly outside, we found the apartment cosy and warm with the fire-burner on. There is everything we needed in the kitchen although we did not really use the lounge area as that was quite small.
We really liked the place and are already considering when to return!
Lovely little house, plenty of space actually! Nice and cosy inside with a heating stove. There is everything necessary in the kitchen, bathroom very clean and looks new! Mary and Tom will take very good care of you. The location is perfect for day trips out. Little chilly in the mornings before you get the heaters going! :)
What a lovely amazing place to stay! We stayed with some friends. Tom and Mary were lovely hosts. We stayed a bit later as we waited for a taxi but they were lovely about it x x would love to stay again (with a car!)
