A renovated 1940’s style stream side renovated lumberjack cabin at the end of a road on 45 private acres 3 miles within National Forest. No traffic. Vintage stove and refrigerator work well. Fully equipped kitchen. Bathroom with spectacular stream view. Queen & single bed upstairs, a single bed downstairs doubles as a daybed. Wood burning stove in living room. Large front porch, screened back porch overlooks stream. Restorative. Check my reviews. Want to escape from civilization?

The space
Spacious porch in front, screened in rear porch overlooks the stream. Downstairs: eat-in kitchen with art-deco kitchen furniture. Heated bathroom with tub and shower. Living room with wood stove and a couch that becomes a single bed.

The building is well-insulated and clean.

Location

Woodford, Vermont, United States

3 miles from Route 9 nestled in the Green Mountain National Forest, this location is very private. The road ends on the property so there is generally no traffic. Prospect Ski area is within ski distance. You can hike a 10-mile loop of the Long Trail including Harmon Hill with its breath-taking views of Bennington. Or hike to Sucker Pond at the top of the mountain to swim or fish.

Although only 10 miles from Bennington it is unlikely to see anyone (except me) all day.

Bennington offers golf, shopping, a world-class museum and good restaurants.
