About this listing
Bright, charming 1.5 bedroom (with an extra office room and twin-sized couch) with exposed brick is a Park Slope gem. Centrally located near the Barclay's Center subways and Prospect Park, you'll love your stay here.
This bright and sunny floor-through in Park Slope is only a few blocks from the Barclay's Center and Prospect Park. Located between the bustling coffeeshops, boutique shopping and restaurants of 5th Avenue and sleepy 6th, it's a hop, skip and jump to the restaurants of Prospect Heights, Fort Greene, and Boerum Hill. One comfy queen bed and a long couch that becomes almost a full twin, plus a self-inflating twin mattress (Serta, raised) available upon request. There's a beautiful kitchen, full bath, A/C in two rooms, and a quiet view to backyards. Wake up to birdsong as if you aren't in the city, bike or run in the park (bike available to borrow), visit friends for brunch, or walk over to Barclay's Center to catch a game or a show. If you'd rather stay in, enjoy cable on the nice flatscreen TV, order in & watch movies. Near Fort Greene (Flea Market!), Boerum Hill, Smith St. and Court, a nice meander up to beautiful Prospect Park (where there's a farmer's market on Saturdays), the Brooklyn Museum and the Botanical Gardens. There's a yoga studio, a fantastic coffeeshop, a large grocery store, a great nail salon, laundromat & best massages in Brooklyn across the street and pretty much everything you could want within a mere half block. Atlantic terminal is about five blocks away; you can catch the 2,3,4,5,B,Q, N and R trains, or you can take the B63 bus from 5th down to Cobble Hill / Brooklyn Heights (Sahadi's deli is a must) if you'd rather not go underground. If you're driving, there is alternate side parking on the street (Tues/Weds) and I never have trouble parking.

Other Things to Note
This is an old apartment building and the floors are creaky; please respect my neighbors and live lightly in the apartment, removing your shoes and keeping the music at a respectable volume.
Please respect my neighbors. No smoking. I'll leave guidebooks and do my best to welcome you if you are from out of town. NO extra people, please, unless we have made a special arrangement.
Meredith's cozy and stylish apartment provided the perfect Brownstone Brooklyn experience. She is a very responsive host, checking in and out is a breeze, and she thoughtfully provides a lot of information for guests, such as menus for good restaurants in the neighborhood (there are a lot).
I live in the city and stayed while work was being done in my apartment, but my time here still felt like a vacation! Subway access is superb, and anything you might want to do--hang out in Prospect Park, grab a quick bite or a superb meal, pop over to another borough--is easy. And despite its convenient location, the apartment is extremely quiet.
My husband and I enjoyed the freedom that we had of having our own flat. It was easy to get about, being close to Subway. Some good coffee houses close by . It was comfortable and the bed and bed linen were soft and comfy. Meredith was quick to respond from booking and offered any assistance. We would use again.
Meredith's home was the perfect place for our visit to Brooklyn. As a longtime (now, ex-) Brooklynite, the location made for the perfect experience of being back in the old neighborhood. As is the norm in NYC, not much time was spent in the apartment. However, the time we did spend was lovely, comfortable and clean. Meredith was a pleasure to plan with, gracious about our late arrival and departure. The apartment is truly in the heart of the Park Slope / Prospect Heights action and close to all city subways.
The apartment was as described--- comfortable, sunny, and conveniently located to transit and wonderful restaurants. It was surprisingly quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Everyday items were provided such as towels, shampoo, hangers, face tissue, and coffee machine which is a reflection of the hostess who was as accommodating and available as promoted. We would definitely consider staying at Meredith's apartment again.
This apt. lies in a beautiful + lovely part of Brooklyn.
We felt very safe and at home.
It is pretty close to different subway lines and the LIRR.
Very easy to reach and just a few stops to Manhattan.
Lots of places for having dinner, breakfast or an evening drink just short walks away around 5th and 7th street.
Lovely Prospect Park just a short walk away, too.
Meredith' apt. is very clean + comfy.
She was very helpful and never short for an answer, regardless what.
I would come back for a stay any time again.
Just loved our first time ever to Brooklyn and NYC.
a beautiful home. close to excellent transport links. the neighbourhood (the other 5th avenue of nyc) is fantastic and gives you a perfect insight into life in nyc.
meredith was a great host, the instructions were really easy to follow and the descriptions of everything are exactly as they are. her neighbours were welcoming too. the house was warm, even as the snow fell in buckets outside.
in short, a great experience for us (two adults and one toddler).
Great apartment complete with everything for a comfortable stay. Meredith was a pleasure to work with, and easily accessible by text message throughout the stay.
