About this listing

Bright, charming 1.5 bedroom (with twin-sized couch) with exposed brick is a Park Slope gem. Centrally located near 5th avenue shops & dining, 5 blocks from the Barclay's Center subways (2/3/4/5/D/B/Q) & Prospect Park, you'll love your stay here.

The space

This bright and sunny floor-through in Park Slope is only a few blocks from the Barclay's Center and Prospect Park. Located between the bustling coffeeshops, boutique shopping and restaurants of 5th Avenue and sleepy 6th, it's a hop, skip and jump to the restaurants of Prospect Heights, Fort Greene, and Boerum Hill. One comfy queen bed and a long couch that becomes almost a full twin, plus a self-inflating twin mattress (Serta, raised) available upon request. There's a beautiful kitchen, full bath, A/C in two rooms, and a quiet view to backyards. Wake up to birdsong as if you aren't in the city, bike or run in the park (bike available to borrow), visit friends for brunch, or walk over to Barclay's Center to catch a game or a show. If you'd rather stay in, enjoy cable on the nice flatscreen TV, order in & watch movies. Near Fort Greene (Flea Market!), Boerum Hill, Smith St. and Court, a nice meander up to beautiful Prospect Park (where there's a farmer's market on Saturdays), the Brooklyn Museum and the Botanical Gardens. There's a yoga studio, a fantastic coffeeshop, a large grocery store, a great nail salon, laundromat & best massages in Brooklyn across the street and pretty much everything you could want within a mere half block. Atlantic terminal is about five blocks away; you can catch the 2,3,4,5,B,Q, N and R trains, or you can take the B63 bus from 5th down to Cobble Hill / Brooklyn Heights (Sahadi's deli is a must) if you'd rather not go underground. If you're driving, there is alternate side parking on the street (Tues/Weds) and I never have trouble parking.

Meredith's cozy home is very nice and comfortable and Meredith herself is super helpful and kind. We didn't meet in person but she answered all the questions quickly and helped us in many ways. We stayed in her flat for a week with our baby and it worked out perfectly. The location is also handy: several metro lines close by, supermarket just around the corner and nice restaurants in the area. And at nights the area is very quiet! I can warmly recommend Meredith and her home for a visit in New York.

The apartment and the neighbourhood was amazing! Walks from some of the best food and cafes, yet quiet enough to really relax. Meredith was a great host and super quick to reply to any and all questions. Would definitely stay again!

I wish I could give Meredith 100 stars for her communication with us. This being our first Airbnb experience, we couldn't have asked for a better or more gracious host. Meredith was helpful in answering questions before booking, providing clear and timely instructions for our arrival, and even checking in to make sure everything was fine after we arrived. Her place is in a great location. We were all over the city during the week we stayed, and her apartment's location gave us easy access to most train lines so we could get around without any hassle. There are also great shops and restaurants in the neighborhood for close access to anything one would need or want. Meredith was also extremely gracious in letting us check out late on our last day, which allowed us a few extra hours in the city. I would highly recommend staying at Meredith's place!

First experience with Airbnb and we were not disappointed! Meredith was very kind and helpful, we had no problem finding the apartment whatsoever. The apartment itself is very cozy, with a charming living room. Calm neighborhood, we slept well! It is in walking distance of several subway lines and there are several places to eat (or to take home) nearby. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and we highly recommend it!

Meredith was a great host. Instructions for getting into the apartment were clear, and the apartment itself was great. Ideal location just a few blocks from the Barclays center and major subways. Would stay there again.
