Byzantine is a luxury apartment located in Giudecca, the closest and most served island in Venice. As an 90 sm apartment elegantly furnished with art masterpieces, it comes with all comforts, a wide and very elegant living room with wood floors and ceilings, a fully equipped modern kitchen with a crystal dining table, two master bedrooms with ancient doors and enclosed marble bathrooms.
Bright and magnificently furnished, Byzantine is perfect for couples and families who want to spend some time in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
The building is in a green area, facing the sea, giving perfect relaxing moments to the guests.
The island of Giudecca was historically an area with wide gardens, the island became an industrial area in early twentieth Century, with shipyards and factories, in addiction to a film studio.
Much of the industry went into decline after the second world war, but it is now once more regarded as an exclusive residential area, known for its long dock and its churches, including Il Redentore" (La Basilica del Santissimo Redentore), traditionally the focus of the absolutely great Festa del Redentore, celebrated on the third Sunday of July in memory of the narrow escape of a plague that struck the city in 1575.
The building is 1 minutes walking from Palanca ferry stop and few minutes by “vaporetto” (waterbus) from Saint Mark's square in the south of Venice.
No smoking, you can smoke outside.
Final Cleaning: 35 euro to pay at check-in

Late check-in fee 20:00pm - 08:00pm: 50 euro
The Byzantine was all it was advertised and more: the location was ideal, the property was spacious, light and luxurious. My colleague and I spent a week at the Byzantine for a conference being held 300 meters away at the Hilton. Many of our friends from the Hilton came to the Byzantine to enjoy a home-cooked dinner and a glass of wine away from the crowded conference venue. Hats off to Walter greeted us exactly on time and was a great font of information. We would definitely recommend this property.
While Venice was bustling and busy this apartment provided a luxurious and spacious place to rest with a garden outlook. The island of San Giudecca was perfect for us visiting the Biennale. Definitely would stay here again. Thank you
The host was very helpful and met us at the vaporetto stop. There was a problem because some of our luggage was lost by the airline and the host an agency helped organize delivery of it once it was found. The flat was in a great location ; perfect for getting to several different areas in Venice quite easily . The host left us a list of restaurants and suggestions of places to visit both of which were very useful. We enjoyed our stay very much and would probably use the flat again if the opportunity arises The location
It was a great apartment. Very clean and just beautiful. It located just 10 mins away from San Marco, away from all the tourists. Close to local shops. Transport goes there 24/7. We all just loved it and would definitely stay there again when we are in Venice.
Very stylish and quiet flat on guidecca island close to Harrys Dolce. Definitely recommend it, perfect for 2 couples or a couple with kid(s).
Serene, beautiful and well located away from the tourist crowds in Giudecca...easy to get to by using the vaporetti. We took a private boat taxi-motoscafi from the airport- it was expensive but worth it! Grazia met us right on time. The place is just right, filled with wonderful art and furnishings. The neighborhood has all you might need, restaurants, a bakery, supermarket. We really were happy to stay in a quiet place. Clean and well organized with lots of great art books and helpful Venice info. Thanks!
