The keys to the flat was supposed to be in a lock box 2 blocks down, however the host forgotten to make the necessary arrangements. Had to call him and then waited for more than half an hour below the apartment for his helper to turn up to open the door. He left 2 sets of keys for which 1 set does not work.
No internet/TV throughout the 7 days stay. Host agreed to compensate $150 for the inconvenience when I threatened to move out within 2 days. Kept giving excuse that the internet company is coming to repair .. Never did after 7 days and yet he finds all sort of excuse to renegade on his compensation promise. Apartment was ok but if you need a restful sleep at night, this is not the place. It is VERY noisy all through the night and heavy traffic noise very early in the morning. Also human noise (probably from drunks) very late in the night.
Host blamed me for damaging his sofa bed(probably an excuse not to pay the promised compensation). Told him to throw away the dirty/squeeky/already damaged sofa bed and not to use for for his next victim.
In the end told the host to donate the $150 to charity if he has some heart. Would not be surprised that he keeps it!!!! What a man?? Shame on him!!!
Han is the only guest I have had that I would not recommend. He was verbally abusive to me and threw a fit scaring the ladies in my other apartment. Full disclosure: My assistant got the keys to him 25 minutes late and the internet went down and we had to get two new service providers through before it was fixed. Han had a right to be disappointed and upset but he was completely rude and unprofessional. I worked very hard to resolve the issue but every time we communicated he would spew immature insults.
Overall we had an pretty average experience staying at Zack's place. He provided very detailed check in and check out information a week prior to arrival, which was extremely helpful. I had high hopes for this place considering the service and courtesy of the host, but the place itself was a different than I imagined. The apartment is above a restaurant, across from a park, and not very high up, so it can get pretty loud at night from all of the street noise. It was also not as clean and well stocked as I would have expected, but it was fine for a weekend stay.
The property posting was extremely factual and transparent. There were no surprises. The apartment was exactly as it was described and as in the pictures. Zach sent us very detailed instructions for retrieving the key. It was fast and simple and that is big deal considering we left home 30 hours ago and were in flights / transit for 26 hours. Appreciate that Zach
We had a great time in NY. The apartement was as promised in a very nice neighbourhood with many Restaurants and Bars. We would go there again.
Zachary was very responsive and meticulous in his description of THE check in procedure. This made THE entry info his appartment very stress free. THE neighbourhood is very child friendly with a relaxed atmosphere. Enough opportunity for breakfast and dinner is available, and transfer both to New York and Newark AirPort are Great. THE children loved THE Netflix, and we loved THE seconde bedroom white they watched in the living room.
Every night it was relaxing to come home to THE comfortable apartment.
