The Space

My apartment is on the third floor of a new building, a sober and solar like me!
It has 3 rooms, 1 kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a large terrace along the house, very bright and quiet and full of color, total 88 mq.
I live in a suburb of Rome, between Tiburtina and Nomentana, inside the GRA but well connected by public transport, the bus n.444 will leave you in front of my house and the B metro takes you in 20 minutes to the Coliseum, but there is always me I could pick up you around Rome, if necessary.
Neighborhood is a good area, not turistic place, really safe and quiet ,In the neighborhood there's a supermarket, one in front of my house, one on the left (TUO) one on the right (IN'S), very cheap and a few shops just a few steps from my house: a pizzeria, restaurant (IL FICO D'INDIA), a small grocery, a post office and a bar down my apartment (DOLCILANDIA)
My house is very close to Tivoli, in a few minutes you can be in: VILLA ADRIANA, VILLA D'ESTE, VILLA GREGORIANA, or terme ACQUE ALBULE beautiful place to visit.
This listing is for one room, double beds for 2 people 80x190 cm very comfortable, great mattress quite high, 25 cm , wooden slats, the room is independent of the other bed in the room can be added if guests are 3
The bathroom for guests is independent, shower and bath togheter, I provide to my guests clean sheets, towels, hairdryer and an iron (if necessary), sharing with me.
Smoking is not allowed in the house, but there is a balcony where you can smoke.
Having breakfast in the kitchen is very large, or when the days are nice and warm season also begins on the terrace. You can enjoy homemade cakes from me, my chocolate cake or my fruit tarts and great Italian coffee, even though I only drink tea.
Among the many things I do, are also sommeliers, are a great cook and I also produce the fantastic oil ( CHIUSA DELL'ANNUNZIATA) of my country of origin, Puglia, you could buy, if desired, before tasting it of course.
If you choose to diner at home after a day exploring Rome you can tell me, adding only € 20 per head I can provide for a dinner cooked by me (bruschetta, pasta, main course + salad + fruit or dessert + wine and water.
I can help you for the days when you will be in Rome :bus, places to visit, restaurants, etc.

  • This is a very comfortable place to stay and a good value. The room was clean and nice and we had our own very comfortable bathroom. Maria gave us a lovely breakfast and taught me how to use the moka espresso pot :-) (The coffee was delicious!) We had breakfast on her balcony, which faces east and it was sooo nice.

Our only trouble was the location, as several people have noted. If I stayed here again, I would ask Maria if she had a bus schedule, but I didn't think to do that when we were there. I would say in general, with waiting for the bus, it probably takes 40 minutes to get into the central part of the city. It also varies based on when you leave, since in the morning, the bus might get stuck in a traffic (you should leave extra time if you have to catch a train in the morning). I wouldn't recommend it if you wanted to stay out late either, since the metro didn't run past 11:30 on weekdays (this might also be the time of year we went, April). Otherwise, it's a nice place with a nice breakfast to start you off in the morning :)

    thank you Nikolina !!!
when someone makes a booking on airbnb, immediately see where the house is located. I wrote on my profile that I am not in the center but well connected by public transport during the day that break late in the evening. I think the service that I offer to my guests is of excellent quality, a hearty breakfast of homemade things, hard to find. and certainly if I had the house in the center would not have spent so cheap to stay in my home. All the best !

  • It was a pleasure to stay at Maria's place. Maria is a great person, she's very kind and sweet. Our room was really comfy and clean, we had our bathroom which was also very nice and we could use the kitchen where Maria made us some breakfast. We really enjoy our that place. The neighbourhood is calm and quiet, there's a shop where you can buy some groceries or have a coffee. Journey from Termini station to Maria's place is very easy, you only need to take metro to the last station and from there you take the bus, which drives about 10 minutes. I truly recommend that place!

  • It was a good experience..the place is in a safe and peaceful neighbourhood...close to the shops..easy to connect to the centre...very clean and tidy...sometimes there is traffic jam at rush hour..maria is helpful , hospitable, clean, optimistic, energetic, skillful and so on...a very good place to stay at such a reasonable price....the breakfast could be better with some stuff but if you dont like, you can buy some stuff at the shops nearby just like I did...yeah nice place overall...see you next time Maria...

  • Had a great stay at Maria's, her kindness and hospitality would make me stay again, her breakfasts were lovely and well thought out. It was so nice to come into her home after months of solo travelling and feel like I was back at home. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Great price too, transport into Rome centre was easy and her instructions were great, thanks again Maria!

  • Maria was a fantastic hostess, she picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. She gave us maps and tips about the city and the room spacious and clean. The breakfast was always prepared and the olive oil was great. Thanks again Maria!!!!

  • I tre giorni che abbiamo passato alla casa di Maria Grazia erano proprio fantastici!! She could not have been more welcoming, helpful, and accommodating!! Our departure was a bit hectic, but Maria Grazia went out of her way to bring our bags to the train station and then met us again at another station when we forgot to give her the keys to the apartment! We caused some trouble, but she was an absolute angel!! Grazie mille Maria Grazia!! Ci vediamo a Los Angeles!! :)

I am a woman manager, Apulian origin, but Roman by adoption, arrived in Rome 15 years ago. I love this city and I would not change it for the world, perhaps the best I know of many Romans were born here. Among the many things I do, are also sommeliers, are a great cook and also the fantastic produce oil of my country of origin, puglia, you could buy, if you wish, tasting it first of course My curiosity led me here. I believe that the exchange of different cultures helps us to grow and improve even if another language then so be it. I really like traveling, opens our minds and horizons.
