Welcome to my beautiful three bedroom Edwardian redbrick home in Terenure, Dublin 6 - the best part of the city to live in! My house is located in the middle of a terrace and is full of character and charm - stained glass front door, roaring fire in the living room, private outdoor patio at the rear, real fireplaces in the bedrooms (but don't worry, I have central heating, so you won't need to use them!).
There are only two of us living here, myself and my partner Ian, so the house is quiet and calm. Guests are welcome to use our kitchen, but with three of TripAdvisor's Top 20 restaurants in Dublin being located in Terenure, as well as several great pubs, you may not want to eat in very often! Our guests enjoy all of the usual home comforts - a very clean and tidy house (with all towels and bed linen provided), a super-fast wifi connection, cable TV, a spotlessly clean bathroom with power shower, and a Tesco supermarket just 1 minute down the road! You can curl up in front of the fire in the living room to watch a DVD or cable TV on those cold Dublin evenings. Or during the summertime you can sit and enjoy the sun in our patio (maybe lie in the hammock...) or even fire up the barbeque :-)
Terenure is a safe and quiet neighbourhood in Dublin 6 on the south side of the city and is well connected by public transport - it is only a 15 minute bus ride/10 minute taxi ride to the city centre. There are four major bus routes that connect Terenure to the city centre and there is a bus-stop and a taxi-rank just a stone's throw from my house! The village is also on the Number 17 bus route that goes to UCD. So you can get to college or the centre of the city in no time at all :-) If you need to get to/from the airport, the cheapest airport bus (only €3.05!!) picks up and drops off right outside my house. If you have a car, that is no problem either as there is free on-street parking less than a 1 minute walk from the house.
Your room is at the back of the house, so it is nice and quiet and it has a really comfy double bed. There is also a desk and a reading light (in case you need to do some work while you are here).
Continental breakfast is included - cereals, bread, OJ, tea/coffee, fresh fruit - just help yourself.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you need any tips/help in planning your trip to Dublin. If you are arriving into the airport or the train/bus station, we might even be able to come and collect you (for a small fee, but certainly cheaper than a taxi!) - please contact us to arrange this.
We look forward to welcoming you to Terenure soon...
